I saw a video yesterday that showed a camera with I beleive it was 7 gigapixels and you could see a persons face clearly over a mile away which I thought was sweet and now ive just stumbled on this where you can watch it yourself! Billion-Pixel Pictures Allow Ultra-Zooming for Science
1 gigapixel = 1000 megapixels. So surely we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves, considering we're only at 15 megapixels. This camera would probably be huge, have a huge battery that wouldn't last long and would certainly cost OVER 9000!!!!
The mega pixel camera sounds like a fun toy. Per the camera's out right now for consumers. Almost anything over 12 megapixels is a waste of money, because 15 megapixels and 12 megapixels will literally look the same. Cool find though, can't wait to become a scientist so I can abuse this camera. All it needs is night vision and the ability to see through walls.
Thats a little bit ridiculous, just get your fat scientist legs off the golf cart and walk closer and take a pic. Lol, Jk, but srsness.
Wait, if this is a scientific camera then noone will buy it cos all the scientists that need it are too poor. The ones that can afford it can just make their own with twice the battery life, and the ability to make coffee.
