Sandfection "It will take more than fire power and luck to stay alive" Game types recommended: Infection 4-12 players, (slayer and other game types will be available in the next update) This is my first post on Forgehub so many of you can guess im bricking it. The concept of this map first started when me and some friends where playing infection on custom games and the main problem we faced, the maps where too open spaced and everyone could see the infected coming a mile off and that inspired me to create a CQC (closed quarters combat), scary looking map. i allocated myself a small space and started forging! I am relatively new to interlocking and merging objects(ive only been using it for about 1 month) so it isn't perfect.I have used some effects like the FX and blue/red lights to create a dark colorless feel, like in an old horror movie. The size of the whole gameplay zone is inside this box (the teleporter no longer exists and was never part of the gameplay) the outside isnt used The second floor gives a break from all the corridors the weapons aren't powerful, which is where teamwork comes in Watch out for dead-ends, they could cost you the match... ...Although some corridors do provide the chance for a long-range assault or revenge And some areas provide a tactical advantage that could tip the balance of the match in your favor The money shot (i will post more of these soon) weapons: x3 Assault Rifle x4 Battle Rifle x3 Shotgun x2 SMG x2 Magnum There is a Sniper Rifle and a 7 Wood on the map somewhere but it is outside of the gameplay zone, i just cant find them. Links: Map Variant: Click here Game Variant: Click here Video of map: Click here (just a basic walk through the map) Problems i have encountered: When walking on the second floor, player will jump a little due to a slightly uneven floor If playing split screen, only on one screen, the view will remain very dark for a couple of seconds at game start or respawn Im pretty happy with the result. Interesting concept. My only question is, if you forged the map, why can't you find the sniper rifle and the 7-wood?
i let my friends join the match and told them to leave me alone so they started to try to kill me, it was really funny at the time. i deleted most of the weapons except for those two.
Hmm.. Is the teleporter the only entrance? If it is, then people can just stand on the reciever and win. Kinda flawed, other than that, nice map.
the pic with the teleporter, i used the teleporter to get from the surface to the crypt quicker when i started a new round, it isnt part of the gameplay, thanks for pointing it out though, ive put it on the pic to avoid more confusion from other fellow forgers ^_^
This map looks quiet small, do you think you could easily make it a bit bigger expand on the sides or something? , because i know from playing a lot of custom game nights that you want room to move in infection maps, just just a suggestion but i like the map 3/5 just need to fix the entrance.
when i make a v3 ill make a 3rd floor possibly or a corridors leading to a large area, ill find some way to expand it, cheers for your input ^_^
