Map Title: Satan's Closet You can't escape, you can't survive, and you'll die a miserable death. Hey! Sounds like Windows Vista! (This map supports up to 16 players.) Download Map Download Hell Awaits Slayer Variant Description: A view of the inside of the map. The two sides are almost identical except for an opening into the surrounding box tunnel. Okay Hubbers, this is my first interlocking map. So yeah, this is probably going to me the messiest handiwork you've ever seen, but hey, I used interlocking!! So yeah, that's an improvement. This is the result of 3 1/2 days of work for hours on end, several saves and quits, and too many new rounds to count. The raining fusion coils. The map has several raining fusion coils -- five in all, but only three are set to instant respawn. I actually had all five of them activated but considering the surface area of the box I built was more or less a school classroom, it got to the point where you'd spawn and BAM! Killed by the Guardians. So yeah, watch out for the coils. There's also a series of four teleporter channels. What goes where? Nobody will ever know. Well, once you go through each four of course. There's no 50/50 chance of getting somewhere. Each one guarantees you go to a certain place if you know which one is which. There are two sniping points at the top level of boxes which two different teleporters lead to. The other teleporter leads to a top level spawn point surrounded by walls and a shield door. The last one leads to a jail (seen in the bottom screenshot above) with another teleporter that would have to be unlocked by someone in your team. That, or you can commit suicide if you have the necessary weapons. You only get two frag grenades for every spawn. No other grenades are on the map. A view of this monstrocity from the outside. Again, the map is pretty sloppy. One more thing, there is a series of open boxes you can run into to get protection from the raining coils. But there's also some heavy weaponry on the map, including snipers, rocket launchers, flamethrowers, and even the dreaded...needler. There's also a turret at one of the sniping points, but the turret has several blind points and is right across from another snipe spot, so, can anyone say, "sitting duck?" Two of the three sniper points on this map's top level. I went through and did my best to make sure there was no way you get out of this enclosed area into the rest of Foundry. If there is a way...then kudos. But I tried sealing everything off. The 2nd and 3rd levels of the map that don't have teleporters to them are not interlocked but you still shouldn't be able to jump to them to get out. Reviews appreciated. Oh, another thing! The Gametype The gametype is simple enough. It's a slayer varation. These are the modifications I made to it that make this game really challenging (and will overall make noobs cry. You know, those annoying little 7 year old kids we meet in Matchmaking that after they get MVP they think they're infallible and omnipotent?) Settings: Score To Win: 25. Team Slayer: Enabled. Kill Points: 1. Assist Points: 0. Death Points: -1. (So be sure NOT to die.) Suicide Points: 0. (The raining fusion coils would make the game never end.) Betrayal Points: -1. Primary Weapon: Assault Rifle. Secondary Weapon: SMG. Grenades on Map: None. Number of Rounds: 2. Time Limit: 6 Minutes. Damage Resistance: 150% (This way, fusion coils don't instantaneously fry you.) Shield Recharge Rate: 110% (A little faster.) I didn't put in any overshields because that would take away a lot of the challenge. Anyway, so tell me what you guys think of this. Cheers, ~Doc
No offence No offence but this map looks quite boring. Seriously think first before you put random shield doors all over it because it really does make your map look ugly.
