Chiron TL43 is a remake of the Halo 1 map Chiron TL34. This Halo 1 map consists of 9 small rooms which are connected via two-way nodes (teleporters). With Sandbox's resources I could provide 7 teleporter connections, the other 'doors' are set up as normal passages. I used all of the money to built this remake, no glitches, and this map seems at least unbreakable (means, you cannot leave the meant to be played on boundaries). Multiplayer item list: 1 Battle Rifle (30s) 1 Mauler (90s) 1 Plasma Pistol (30s) 4 Plasma Rifles (30s) 1 Rocket Launcher (180s) 4 Frag, 4 Plasma grens (30s) 1 Overshield (180s) 1 Bubble Shield, 1 Regenerator (180s) Changes to the original: replaced Shotgun by Mauler, replaced Plasma Pistols by Plasma Rifles and vice versa, added BS and Regen All gametypes are set up, though I think that it is perfect for SWAT, Shotguns or Rockets only Slayer games and I can imagine that it might be fun with 16 player FFA or 8v8 team games. overview of the six rooms on Sandbox: long room square hole room corner room square room open roof room corner hole room overview of the 3 rooms on Crypt 3 tin cups room 5 tin cups room 2 tin cups room
although i have never played halo 1 this map looks like it would be fun to have a ctf game or slayer game. i have seen that you did some good interlocking and i just like the layout of the map. im not shure if it is the same as the halo 1 map but this one looks good 4/5.
Damn, I was planning on remaking Chiron too. x( Doesn't matter, yours looks way better than what I had so far. I'll give it a download and play a few rounds of slayer in it.
This looks like a pretty accurate remake. I didn't play Halo: CE very much, but I do remember this map. It was always very confusing, but fun. From what I can see (and remember ;P) you have done a good job. I will clear some space and dl.
Damn, i was remaking this . it looks pretty good, but in mine all the teleporters are linked up so none of them are only corridors, and my weapons are exactly the same as the original. it looks like you did a good job with the corner room though, and the room where the two half walls are coming out of the wall.
This looks like a really accurate remake. i absolutely hated this map in h ce but this looks really good. very clean and straight. You got my dl maybe i finally like it lol.
In the Halo 1 map are 14 two-way connections (equals channel sum), I used all 8 two-way nodes (that is 4 channels) and 3 'sender+receiver' (another 3 channels) and 3 'sender+receiver' to provide the same way back. That is overall 10 channels and 7 two-way connections! There is 2 'sender+receiver's left but just one channel, so if you use that you might come out on the same side you just wanted to leave. So, there is just 7 proper two-way connections possible and the other 7 must be replaced by normal passages..
Nice map, just to ask you , the last few pictures in the crypt, do you actually walk around in there? or are you inside some rooms? , because i wouldn't want to personally roam round down there because the rest of the map is good how it is.
Damn, nice remake. Brings back some fond telefragging and back hacking memories. Oh and remember to bounce that grenade off the portal before you go through (I always did that lol).
In the Crypt are three rooms located which have tin cups for roofs and no one is expected to walk around in the rest of the Crypt. One of the rooms contains the spawns for the defenders, another for the 4th team. There is also Mauler and Rockets. I used the Crypt for the backwalls to save items and it is setting apart some team spawns from the lighter rooms on Sandbox (attackers, 3rd team). On the original map there have been also those rooms in darker lighting. I hope your answer is covered.
Wow, It plays just like the real one. I never did like that map, but your attempt to re-create it has been an absolute succsess. I give it a 5/5. Great job.
The best Halo 3 chiron remake. I have looked at them all. I have made my own remake using foundry last year. But this one takes the cake. I have chiron memorized from playing shotties no shields in halo 1 at every lan I played at. Plus I know it very well from remaking it in Foundry. I can tell you had a good understanding of how chiron was laid out and you put the puzzle pieces together great!
