Back in Foundry, you could make a smooth bridge at the exact height of a double box by placing a sideways double box and the bridge on top of it. What height equivalent is there for boxes on Sandbox?

I'd lay a wide wooden bridge on a large block.

You can try stone bridges on tube pieces laid so that the open part is in the air. Also it is pretty easy to set up guides then use mancannons.

The first thing I did in sandbox was to find this. Picture should explain all.

The columns must be STONE columns. They are also to be placed longer-side down. Hope this helps.

    I always use a block huge/tall + block angled + 2 walls.
