Ok the whole reason Microsoft (MS) made the new OS is because they thought it was too hard to find what you want in the Marketplace and find what you want. #1. Now the new system feels like everything is revolved around the marketplace. Almost all the sliders are Markeplace ones. -How they could have fixed it- NXE-Make only one slider for MP Dashboard-Make a search bar or something #2. The Avatar slider I want to see what friends are online, I dont want to wait 5 minutes for my friends name to pop up in the little group of people. I usually see some rendom guy i dont know that in his party. Instead ive got to open the Guide menu go to friends so i can see a damn list of my online and offline fiernds and what there playing. -How they could have fixed it- NXE-Make the slider for friends only and make party optional Dashboard-It was perfectly fine, select friends and there ya go I feel like Ive got to press more buttons and menus to get to what I want. Kind of same for the MP #3 Aesthetics in General Why is the Guide White text on Blue whered those colors come from? I want to be able to see my full gamertag in the corner of my screen or somewhere on the main menu Conclusion-I want the Dashboard back!! I dont want my avatar plastered all over the damn place. They stole the avatar idea from the Wii's Mii. The dam sliders feel like the PS3's XMB (crossbar) I like the less complicated' simple feel of the DB than the cluttered Marketplace centered NXE. Microsoft better let an option to bring it back!!
Yeah Marketplace sucks now I agree with that. Friends is better, you can see who is in parties You still have virtually exactly the same dashboard when you hit guide, though it's slow as hell and annoying. Avatars existed long before Wii..there was no stealing.
But the avatars look so similiar to the Miis. I like Xbox avatars better but some of the faces are even the same.
The miis are just friggin ovals with customizable heads. the xbox avatars are like actual people whose clothes you can customize, as well as a higher degree of facial customization.
You pay too close attention to that. What does it matter? First of all, the Dashboard is just there to be there, the real reason Xbox is here is to provide gameplay and movie watching. If you have your Xbox JUST for the dashboard, there is something wrong with you. Well, not saying there is or anything, just saying. Like PluginFiend said, play for the games, not the dashboard.

I know I was just saying. The dashboard is just an overall look. Nothing really is suppose to be special about the dashboard. The only thing that would make the dashboard more ... "interactive" is to have something like the "Home" from PS3. But then that would be considered copyright. I think the friendslist should just be friends and when you click them, it would show their party (with them being first of course.) but you gotta think. How did they come up with this idea? Was it a vote? Or was it just Microsoft saying they just wanted to suppose that everyone would love it. Not everyone would, and not everyone does.
I read in OXM the main reason they made it was to make the marketplace more easy to navigate. aah microsoft ripping us off with the nonsensical Microsoft points system and trying to get us to buy crap with banners spammed all over the place. honestly how many microsoft points convert to dolars?
No way, José. Miis and 360 Avatars don't look alike much at all. Really. If anything, 360A's look more like Runescape avatars without armor or capes or those things you can take off.
