Cairo Station This is a remake of Halo 2's first campaign level, Cairo Station. This map is taken from the first room where the covenant invade through a tube attached to the ship. This part to be exact: This map only works with Infection. I made a custom varient called Halo 2. Here are the Changes: ZOMBIE 50% damage resistant Plasma Pistol No motion sensor Black ALPHA ZOMBIE (Gold Elite) 90% damage Resistance Energy Sword 75% gravity No motion sensor Gold HUMAN (Master Chief) SMG Normal radar Green SETTINGS 3 rounds 4 minutes On this platform is a handgun, 2 frags, and 2 plasmas just like on campaign. The Zombies come out of this tube Behind the Scenes: ZOMBIE SPAWN Download
It looks like a decent remake of cairo station, although you shouldve made it on foundry so it had a more human feel. My biggest problem with the map though is that the zombies dont come through one of those boarding tubes like in the picture you showed, i wouldve thought that you wouldve at least done that, its kinda a big part of that level
Cool concept! BUT guess what that teleporter....is REALLY sloppy looking. go back to forge and pick it up, turn it so that the green light part is merged into the block, so that you only see the grey part you know. Or why dont you do something more asthetically better, like Shield Doors and a mancannon???
And... who cares, as long as it plays well and in this case looks like what its based on then it doesnt matter. I think that the map looks well worth the download and really does look like the halo level. Well done.
I did try to merge the teleporter, but it kept on saying "Teleporter Blocked". I think the reason you think its sloppy is because you can see the sender node directly behind it, only seperated by a slit wall. I tried to do a mancannon idea but the mancannon pushed them way too far.
Did you also give humans unlimited ammo so they can take dual SMG's and rape the zombie entrance with rapid fire? If I remember that level correctly, the enemies also came in from the opposite corner that the tube is located... in front of that shuttle craft. If you're trying to recreate the level, the shuttle was slighly higher than the walkway and you were able to walk off the walkway onto the shuttle cockpit. You could easily jump from the shuttle to the walkway.
I loved this level in the campaign so I'll definately have to give this map a go. It looks like you did a decent job of recreating it.
