Classic Tremors Remember the classic Tremors you played on Coagulation in Halo 2? Did you enjoy it? If you said yes to either of these questions then i think you should enjoy the map i am about to show you. Now without further Ado or pointless questions with obvious answers i present to you Tremors! [Tremor Spawn]-updated now with only 2 ghosts [Overview] [Human Spawn] Just as in Halo 2 you spawn with a SMG and must make your way over to the enemy base (all the way around the "mountain") to retrieve the enemy flag. Blue team is the Humans and spawn on some rocks, Tremors are red and spawn on a floating platform with the ghosts. You can not do damage by shooting so only splattering with the ghost will kill the Humans. -1 simple rule to follow, when you are a Human dont hijack the ghosts. It is a long walk so make sure you have a large enough party to keep it interesting. --Recommended Players: (2 Tremors & 14 Humans) lol -If there are less than 6 Humans then only use 1 Tremor [Warning] when you spawn as a Human move forward or the Guardians will kill you in about 10 seconds (used to get rid of people who arent playing) Map: Tremors Gametype: Tremors (original i know) _____________________________________________________________ Any problems or questions just comment and i will do what i can to fix it.
Looks great but the original tremors only had two ghosts. Looks fun though, I will DL and try it in a big custom party we are having tonight.
I agree.Originality is the key.But it looks very fun and it looks challenging.Nice job of bringing an old game to life on sandbox. One flaw is the map looks a bit randomly scattered objects. You can try to clean it up and it would look awsome.Overall the map and game is nice overall.
Thanks for the replies and tell me how the games go. I realize the original only had 2 but this is quite i bit bigger and you can choose the number of Tremors you want by the number of people on Red team. (one round and it ends so you can pick new ones) Also the randomness was supposed to make it look "natural" and i did have some sort of thought process when i placed them. I wanted it to be a challenge to get from one to another and i spaced them out accordingly. (if i get enough comments about this i'll see what i could do to clean it up)
There actually is a re-imagination of the classic Tremors game that is quite popular on this site, but the creator used Choppers instead of Ghosts so the Tremors couldn't continuously boost, and added overall to the games enjoyment. I suggest lowering the Red team count to 2, and switching the Ghosts to Choppers. I really like the looks of the big wall and the random usefulness the scattered objects add.
I know about the other versions and the reason i made this was to keep the gametype as close to the classic as possible, so i will keep the ghosts but lower it to only 2 of them.
I agree originality is important but this is still extremely fun! I've tested this multiple times, some imes with larger parties and sometimes with smaller ones. It's very fun and would occupy me for hours on end(if someone take that little bit and puts in their sig i swear to FSM) Anyways! Also, i'm not sure if this is still implemented but it works well that if the humans don't get out of the spawn they will be killed! ( i didn't know this the first time and went to get some food) But this is definitly tons of fun and should be played at TGIF so everyone can enjoy it!
Haha i asked for a review not a religious following of the map... *hides from the wrath of god* No but seriously thanks for taking the time to put some game sessions in and im glad you liked it. Send me an Invite next time you want to play.
looks very nice and i will think of trying it out. i really like how it kills the people that aren't playing =]
I hope you do try it out, im hopeing the more people that try it the more it will get spread around. -And yeah the one thing that annoyed me in Halo 2 was that i would die but the people that are AFK wouldnt, and the tremors wouldnt find them. I saw the guardians as the simple and perfect solution so the Tremors dont have to waste their time.
This looks like it was well-planned, and I'm looking forward to playing it. I really love the anti-AFK trick, too, that always irritated me... With the objects scattered around the map, I would recommend leaving them like that, because making them into orderly patterns would ruin the feel of the map without (probably) impacting gameplay. This is a certain DL for me once my 360 is back.
Thanks again, hope you get your $3Xbox back soon. Also if anyone does find a problem or has an idea to better place the objects let me know which objects specifically and what i could do to improve gameplay.
I like the map idea Mental. I've played it many times, but the thing is that I've turned up the number of rounds up every time. Maybe you've already changed it, because I downloaded an early version, but that was an issue only having 1 round. Also, I don't like how when you start the game you die if you don't move for a few seconds. This is especially annoying because of the limited number of lives (1).
Well you see the rounds is set to 1 because once a new one starts it switches sides... which puts the Humans at the Tremors spawn and vice versa. It ends everytime so you can pick the Tremors after every game. Usually Tremors want to switch to human and try it from the other side. Plus changing Tremors makes it so they dont always act the same and it gives a variety in your movements. About the spawn-death thing, i use it to kill people who arnt playing... so if you dont want to die then move and dont leave your controller. From what i've heard its a good thing. -Thanks for the reply and honest feedback.
I can see what you mean by the spawn death thing now. But when I've played the game with multiple rounds it works just as well. Btw thanks for the bit of help with Midship. I wanna see those results soon lol
How many people were you playing with? if its more than two on a team when it changes that should leave many people without ghosts versus only two Humans.
This map is amazing. Reminds me exactly of the good old Halo 2 days. The design and gameplay is straight up fun, and everything works just as well as it's Halo 2 counterpart. I had a group of 8 people and it was a blast with even one Tremor, and we played for about 4 hours straight. Great job on this, a true remake of the Tremors we have all came to know and love.
Thanks Brandon, im glad you liked it. One question i have is if it was the right amount of difficulty. I dont want it to be too easy for the Tremors or the Humans (it depends on who's playing but just a general feeling). If someone who plays it could answer that for me i would appreciate it so i could improve it accordingly.
I'd say it is an equal difficulty. Too many ghosts per Human is a little hectic because the ghosts can effectively take down one human at a time working together, so you should reccommend a ratio of Tremors:Humans.
