The first one is pretty cool, at first glance, it looked like he was blowing it up, but nice job on getting the explosion behind him and zooming up on his face, it looks good. The second one would be better, if you couldn't see the recharging shields on the dead guy. But the blood splatter does look cool, it looks like it's splattering onto the blue guy.
