I'm not sure if any maps have used this before, but I've discovered a very realistic method of creating "Bombing" Effects. This is very simple too do and you can vary the bombing 'Payload'. First, place several blocks as a 'stand'. Next, place the bomb 'Carrier' (without a 'lid'). Depending on how many explosives are in your map, place a fraction of them in your bomb carrier. The below image has 12 fusion coils. Next, add the 'Lid'. (If your carrier has a lid) The below image was made quickly and is thus very big and uneven. The next step is too remove the 'stand'. Notice that occasionally fusion coils may float in mid-air. You don't want that. Shoot them if they float. They should explode. Now you want too set the 'Payload'. Make sure it is lower then the amount of fusion coils inside the carrier or they may start a near-infinite explosion in the carrier. Too set it, use Run-Time-Minimum. This will affect ALL carriers with the same explosives. Now, they should spawn. If you want too set the 'Reload', alter the height so it takes longer for the explosives too land. You don't even have too use explosives, you could drop "Block, Tiny"s as they resemble bombs and can kill if they travel at a great enough speed. Note that the bombing does not look like the explosion too mobilize explosives, but a wave of explosives (E.g. fusion coils) landing on the floor and exploding.
Interesting. I like this idea. Floating individual fusion coils in the air at varying heights will give u more bombing area and you can just put planes in the air so it doesn't seem like their coming from no where. I'd recomend adding teleporters or weapon holders in the ship because instead of them just falling out they kind of take on a random choatic spin to the ground, and its different everytime.
