I, personally, as a dumbass an avid forger, would love the elephant as a forge item. Just imagine the possibilities! Also, there should be a reasonable limit for an elephant, ex. 1-4 elephants possible in any given map, etc.

However, some problems may exist (forge-wise). The elephant is a big vehicle, and it may cause lag if you use up the limit, combined with your budget glitched/whatever canvass, on Sandbox, however, it can easily be cured by using other maps that don't have huge forging capabilities and possibilities, such as maps like Sandtrap (where the elephant was first introduced), Blood Gulch (the concept), or the upcoming 2nd part of the Mythic map pack...maps.

I, myself, would love to see elephants in Longshore, or an urban setting map like Turf from Halo 2.

Post your opinions - yay, or nay?

If they put a limit of 2 on Sandbox, I can just imagine a massive trap with a weapons cache underneath where touching a single item makes an elephant fall on you.

You can do that with any large vehicle or movable object, but that would be pretty funny.

"Hey guys, I found a spartan laser!"

stupid guy was killed by the guardians

There's a reason why there's a limit of two elephants: Lag.

Have you ever played the modded map where there are 4 elephants? The one where there are 8 elephants? 64 elephants? 121?

All of them cause some EXTREME lag, even if you play them locally by yourself. Bungie just realised this and put the limit to two of them.

However, the one map where all four elephants are bunched up together to make a floating fortress in the sky dosn't really lag that badly for some reason. I assume it's because that they're all so well bunched together and acting as platforms in the air. However, when one of them starts the fall the game completely lags up. So yeah, with all of those elephants, one moves and lag just jumps right into play.

Im going to have to say yah on this. Bungie should have put them on avalanche but with the snow camo like on the scorpion tank. Since i think avalanche is large enough to hold the two. Along with the elephant in forge, i'm still waitin for a map large enough map to hold pelicans and phantoms. But yea that would be pretty cool to elephants in forge.

They don't lagg because immovable objects have no physics.
Physics is the single most laggy thing a game could have.

Elephants aren't movable or immovable, they're Vehicles, and a large amount of lag is created by those modded maps because that amount of Elephants are not suppose to be on Sandtrap.

Who would want a forgable Elephant? There would be so many possiblities! I would love a version Sandtrap that I could move and remove the Elephants, then I could take one on my games that I made to the next level, but alas, when they announced Sandtarp, Bungie said that a version with such capabilities would never be released to the public.

I want Forgable Elephants, but know it'll never happen. A lot of "What if-" questions on the Halo Forums recently...
