I'm willing to pay 1400 MS points (Canadian) for good forge lessons. Somebody who will teach me everything I need to know. I have no idea if this is against the rules of this website, so please give me the heads up if it is (I don't wanna cause any harm).
I can teach you for free, add my Gt Xylom or visit this youtube page where I learned most of the stuff. Youtube page here Seriously though, don't pay anyone for common knowledge. Shouldn't cost you a dime.
You don't need an instructor just look at the forgeing 101 thread it will teach you everything from interlocking to advanced geomerging. If you really want a tutor I'll do it no charge if your free on weekends. Gamer Tag Canadians360. I can cover pretty much everything even escaping maps to place bracers on both in and out of bound sides of maps for extreamly clean geomerging.
I could probably help you sometime if you want, There really isn't that much stuff to learn man, you can find a lot here, But... w-e, If you need help I'll help you... but one question, Sandbox or foundry?
Make it 1800MS points and you got yourself a deal. But really, just go with what they said, youtube has alot of stuff, plus our forging 101 here at FH.
Hey guys! Thanks for the replies It's great to know you guys would do this for free. I'm use to "MLGpro.com" type of offers, where everything seems to cost. If you guys are willing to teach me a few things. Please add "Payceee" I'm completely new to forging, and have a hard time putting two things straight! so hopefully you have lots of patient. I'll have to check that out. I really like the look of it so far.. Thanks for the link TBH, I dont really know the difference. I would prefer Sandbox if I had to choose though. That would be great man... I'll add you tomorrow, and you can help me whenever you have some spare time.
Forging is about creativity ant your imagination. Paying someone to unlock the possibilities is rather foolish. It only takes practice and a little luck to see your dreams come to fruition.
Hey glad to help I can't believe they charge points for this stuff at mlg pro. Anyways I think if your looking for a tudor you should see what techniques they have to offer or just trust a fellow Canadian and ill be glad to help. PS: Could someone link forging 101 for this guy I can't because I'm on an itouch at the moment. When you get there mainly focus on the stickies or very important so they stay at the top of the page stuff. PS: Happy Victoria day enjoying your day off.
Ah thanks for the reply I'll take any help I can get! GT: Payceee I found the Forge part, thank you anyways.
This really isn't what Forgehub is about. This website is designed for each and every member to express their creativity by presenting their maps. Doing so, they'll get comments, remarks, and most importantly, suggestions. These suggestions continuously build up the forger's knowledge; every map they post, more and more members will suggest and comment, thus leading to an infinite, free-of-charge "forge lesson." There isn't a better way. Offering $10 bucks for an hour of a couple explanations over a life-time supply of information here without spending a penny. See where I'm going? Just look around the website a little, you'll get the hang of it.
I'm not going to take MS points for it, but I have an expansive knowledge of everything forge, and I'd be more than glad to help you if you'd like. My gamertag is NewbAmoeba. EDIT: Problem with that, Raynne, is that it actually took me a year to figure out even somewhat of what I know now (Halo 3 since october 07) and I can assure you 1 on 1 teaching is the best. The forging 101 things can get confusing and ingame examples work best.
This is true, however he is saying he knows NOTHING about forging which includes all the basics from interlocking to geomerging which you need to know to do even the most basic stuff. He can find it around in the website but that can take longer and it is not as thurough as if it was someone that is 1on1 with him. I agree he shouldn't pay but I am just saying I think he wants more direct things then just looking at maps and not knowing how to do it but to know how to do it and than look at the maps.
this really disappoints me, someone should have taken advantage of this dummy and got paid. what kind of americans are you goddamnit
Good job, people ... I was going to lock this thread, but the true spirit of ForgeHub as shone through. +rep for all of you. N.B:Rep does not exist ... don't get your hopes up.
Well, you do get +American spirit! XD I'm glad he found Forging 101 anyway. I mean seriously, who would pay 1400 Microsoft points for forging lessons? I could understand if he wanted MLG training or maybe some noscoping lessons... but not forging, not with all of the resources you can find online to teach you everything you need to know.
Glad people offered to assist. You'd seriously kick yourself if you spent the MS Points after finding out how simple some of these techniques are. A lot of it is just looking at item properties and using a little common sense.
Well im in desperate need of come MPs. I know just about everything you would need to know about forging. My GT is FSC RedNeck if you are interested
