    This is an almost direct remake of the Unreal Tournament 3 map Morbias Arena. For those of you that do not know what this map is, it is a two tier arena. The map promotes fast paced free for all action. The UT3 version promotes fast pace team slayer, but because of the differences between the two games, we highly discourage any team based games. There are two facing starting bases, also two tier. There is an abundance of cover, but, those that are familiar with the map already know, do not expect to be alive too long. Once again, any and all criticism is greatly appreciated. Warning: this map looks stunning from the POV, you really need to play it to appreciate it. Thank you for the DL and comments.

    Game Type: 2-8 FFA Slayer; 1v1 Slayer

    Weapons: BR x4, Carbine x2, Rockets x1, Needler x1, Frags x4, Stickies x4

    Ambient Noise: Something that we felt most crypt maps are missing is life. So, we added random floating objects to add the vertical depth of the map. We also have found that there is no ambient noise in crypt maps, which makes the maps seem very dry. Killballs are too loud and obnoxious, so we came up with an idea which drops fusion coils at various heights and locations to give the map an ambient noise it so desperately needs.

    cool.

    Cool map looks fun for slayer and king of the hill.
    The idea with the coils for sound sounds great and this is a shure DL for me. 4.5/5

    The ambient noise in maps is creative. Maybe you can have the killball be a really distant sound just to give the ambience a background to it. It definitely give me some ideas, though.

    Now the map itself looks extremely well put-together, but there's nothing STAND OUT about it. It doesn't make me say "wow" and it just feels like so many other maps. In my opinion, the best parts are the bases. 3.5/5

    Smart play w the coils to create a audio background. DL just for thinking out of the box like that. Looks super clean. Will check out and get back to you.

    great idea using the noise to add some life and the higher objects do add some depth, i have not played the map you are trying to remake so i can't really comment about that but i do love the clean symmetry and interlocking and this was actually really fun for a 4-6 person ffa match and a defenite keep for me 4/5

    Looks fun and great, Love the design. Kind of reminds me of the map Warlock in Halo 2 for some reason... You have my download.

    Ah, good times i've had on this map

    I remember playing on this map on the original Unreal, which was made in the mid 90's

    Btw, You should have used mancannons for the elevators. High explosive action can often cause lag, and this is DEFINANTLY a map you don't want to be slowed by teleporter lag....


    If you wanted to recreate the same Unreal kinda feel, you place bruteshots everywhere. They do about the same damage to a person on Halo as Eightballs did in Unreal

    Ehh...maybe on the bruteshots. I love Unreal but I love my BR more. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to making an unreal gametype. Thanks for the comment.

    KillBall + Wraith works pretty well.

    Your map seems a little limited, but I'll give it a try.

    I love Unreal Tournament so it's got my download, although Morbeus was never a map I was particularly into.
