    This is my first serious map I've ever made, I'm always looking for improvement so please throw it at me.

    Note: Only works with CTF variants, a decision made on spawn trouble.

    Description
    This map is my first serious map I have made, it was designed solely for SWAT Flag. It is a symmetrical map consisting of a maze like style with corridors everywhere perfect for BR fights. Because of spawn issues I could only limit this gametype to CTF, but all in all I think SWAT CTF works the greatest on this map, as I am trying to make SWAT CTF something great to play after always hearing complaints on it.

    About the gametype; It is basically the Bungie standard gametype of SWAT CTF, labelled SWAT 2 Flag. I have changed one thing to this gametype though, made the flag return time to 3 seconds. This plays a lot better.

    The Wall; I made a wall out of blocks in front on the Crypt walls because frankly I hated the Crypt walls. Unfortunately it used up a lot of my resources, but wasn't a big issue because my map mainly consists of walls.

    Its looking pretty good. Although you should add something that brightens up SWAT's cliche maps?

    Nice map, love all the corners.

    Without the walls with holes, this could be used for Super Shogun's

    I like it No download because you said only good for ctf
    if you fix it up and make it good for slayer i will download

    It's looking pretty good. It reminds me of a less linear longest/elongation. I don't know why.

    I think you should add some elevation to your map in the middle sections, not just the bases. This would allow the flag carrier a little more sneakiness to run the flag back. Because we all know, t is pretty hard to score in SWAT. Even though the flag carrier can run through the 'maze' easy i still think a little elevation would help.

    At first I had it like this but it didn't satisfy me. I decided to keep everything apart from the bases to a maze like structure.

    Fair enough, but like I said I was having spawn trouble and I have hit my DMI so right now it's quite impossible for it to be played in Slayer. But its designed solely for CTF, I guess you could compare it with the MLG map Onslaught.

    I must say that the map looks quite enjoyable; the layout reminds me of laser tag/paintball courses. Did you draw inspiration from those?

    Regardless, this looks like a great design considering that SWAT is the focus. In SWAT the standard map design concept of verticality is usually less emphasized in favor of Risk vs. Reward style gameplay with good connectivity and flow, and it appears that you have done so for the most part with this map. Some elevated sections definitely wouldn't hurt the map; specifically I think the center area should be lifted slightly so that the center doesn't become the death trap that it is currently. You see, when everything is at the same height, the usefulness of an area is dependent on how vulnerable it is. Your center area is visible from all parts of the map, hence it is at a strategic disadvantage from the other parts of the map (from which geometry blocks some lines of sight). To counterbalance this, you should elevate the center area in some manner so that it becomes an advantageous position that people will wish to control. As it stands, people will avoid the center area of the map because there is no strategic reward for controlling it.

    Looks Radical im not a fan of Swat but the Map still seems so Slayerish still
    im going to download and play it for slayer :p

    i really love the fact that it has high window points that really turned me on ;)

    Amazing map. I love it. I really like the high walls - it gives it that urban feel. This map kind of reminds me of MLG or paintball or something which is good. It looks very enjoyable and I love all of the different levels in the map. Great Job 10/10, I will
    download.

    Also great job standing all of those walls straight up lol.

    I guess a place like darkzone definitely inspired me if anyone has gone there before. The reason why I didn't elevate the middle area was my own decision because I thought it would break the flow of the map a bit. But like I said I am a novice, so there is still a lot for me to learn. I will definitely remember this for the next map I make because I am 100% finished with this map, too much trouble on the spwans has pushed me over the edge :p

    Very Much Fun

    After playing this map with a group of 8 (4 V 4) i found it to be a more exiting swat map than Tundra (Tundra= Horrid).

    the main Death Trap was located in the center but other then that it was a fun and enjoyable experience.

    this sounds more like a sawt then a capture the flag map it also looks like alot of cover so would be good for swat
