Mythic DLC Zombie Manor

    This is the first zombie I have made, and I must say I am very proud of myself. Zombies start off in a small town on the outskirts of Sandbox and the humans start in the manor, the manor itself is quite big, consisting of 2 large floors. Other features include perfect windows, weapons spawn floating on walls, and there is a effects ball to add Cod 5yness. The map also contains a hidden skull which will give you an achievement, skull is only achievable in forge though. You can download from the following fileshare, HERE. I hope you enjoy, this map is best played with the Zombie gametype, and with 5+ people.

I hope you get your map up and running soon. Please PM when you have the pics fixed so I can do a popper review. And for Inherent flame you should tell him how to fix his problem rather than just stating that its there.

    I do like infection town maps and I'll watch for your pics to pop up it sounds like you put a fair bit of thought into your map and you do have a description. In addition to the pics a weapon list would also be quite helpful for those looking at your map, and the link should be placed directly to your actual map not file share (this one is a rule).

    This post isn't up to strandards. The pictures need to be embbeded and the download link has to be to the map itself, and not the fileshare.

    To post pictures:
    1. Go to theater and take pictures.
    2. Go to HaloScreenshots.net and type in your gamertag. (It will take a while to find your pics.
    3. Copy the BB code and copy into your post.
    4. There your done, but make sure when you copy the BB code you only copy the part from [​IMG].

    If you need more help there is a guide in my signature.

    There we go, glad you got your pics up. However it wasn't exactly the town i had expected form your description. Anyways it looks like you put a fair bit of effort forth into the actual buildings and they looke fairly smooth however your center is quite desolate and barren. You might want to consider adding a bit more rubble in a some what strategic matter in the center. I do like the pallet entrances and you do have a good base but you may want to develop on this map a bit more. I would even consider building two more side bases or at least some artistic structures on the sides you know something that will catch someones eye. My recomendation for a weapon list still aplies and i hope you add one since it really can be a determining factor of weather someone will download a map or not. Most people would like to know exactly what their getting or they wont DL. You have a good start and your map has potential and finaly, CONGRADULATIONS on your first forgehub post.

    Now with the pictures, the map looks pretty good. I like the human spawn, especialy the pallet entrances. I would also suggest adding some more cover to the center, so the zombies don't get shot with a sniper, or a battle rifle on their way to the house. Your link is still to your fileshare, and not the Map Details, itself. You need to fix that.

    People really need to stop repeatedly telling him that he needs pictures. One is enough. With that out of the way, time to talk about the map.
    I found this to be a great remake of the Cod:WaW **** Zombie map. Of course, it is missing big features that make it great on CoD(random box, unlockable doors, movable furniture) but the layout is very similar. I'm sure you based it off of that on purpose, but it also seems like you purposely made some changes . Due to Halo's gameplay, I do not believe that this map would work with the default Infection gametypes, so maybe you should design your own fitting gametype. Although this does look good (to my eyes), most people here at ForgeHub expect merging so don't expect to have 50+ downloads. Maybe somebody here would help you out and edit the map to show better merging. I, personally, don't think merging is that big of a deal. On floors, merging is necessary, but for all others, if you can't see/shoot/move through it, then it's fine. So I think your map is good for looks. And your description says there is a town, but the Zombie spawn doesn't really resemble a town. I suggest building the manor in the center then building a town around it. Maybe make the manor 3 stories high with a roof entrance. Just suggestions.

I did merge the walls and etc, otherwise I would not of been able to make the windows and etc, as for your suggestion about "I suggest building the manor in the center then building a town around it. As I said in my post, I am new to Forgehub, I haven't even looked at anyone elses maps so I haven't copied off anyone. = /

    I like how clean everything is built. I do suggest expanding on the idea because it feels little sparse. Maybe another smaller building the humans can hide in?

    Don't worry about copying, no one thinks you copied it, it just happens to be an idea quite of few people have at some time or another.

    Just wanted to say that because it sounded like you thought someone else thought you copied.

    Well, i like how you made the house. It looks pretty fun, but sorry cant dl, i have 100 customs. Im probably gonna dl later though.

    Oh I wasn't accusing you of copying. It's just not an original idea. Someone (in this case, many people) already did it. And your comment about merging--i know you did for that part but many people are picky and want literally EVERYTHING merged. Just look at some featured maps. I'm still amazed at how they do it. And about remaking the map-- improvement. The featured maps are RARELY the first version. Most have been revised and tested, and some even completely redone, plenty of times. So if you are content, keep it how it is. But if you want it to be even greater, that's what I suggest. Again, I say suggest. I am no forge expert. I usually come up with ideas and fail to make it look nice and neat.

    Be careful. Something like that would probably be considered a necro-post to just boost your map up the forums.
