So, I was making a sniper training map for myself. I wanted to have a fusion coil pop up because of a grav lift. I quickly changed my mind right after I selected the grav lift...and THERE YOU GO! I had a glowing spot on the wall! I thought it was lag. So I did it several times. And it wasn't. So I created a glowing spot on a wall! :D

There is a link to the vid.

First check out the vid, slow it down and watch what I do with the grav lift. Then follow this....
•Select grav lift. (not man cannon)
•Hit 'Y' just as soon as it ignites.

The ignition flash hits the wall. If you delete the lift at the right time, the flash stays on the wall. But, it fades as you go further away.

I don't think you can save it into a map. Like, once you end the game, the light is gone. If you can manage to keep it there, let me know how you did so.

Lastly, I'm sure this would be a cool effect for screenshots. :)

Let me know how it goes!

Doesn't seem like anything to to special but an amazing base. Im sure people can think of ways to use this for maps/pics etc. Good work finding this. Im sure it will be useful to somebody.

Nice find. Did you try saving the map or starting a new round after trying this?

if you can find a way to make it permanently remain on the map, then this would be a pretty awesome discovery, but otherwise i think its only useful for screenshots or videos...

If you put a grav lift upside-down underneath an object it creates the same effect. Also, it is much much easier to do it with a mancannon because you can interlock it with the object. It is basically all the same. The downside is that you cannot do it without an object nearby because you can see the lift/ mancannon.
