I literally just started learning about making platformers like Mario on a PC, so i wanted to start at making it. It's a leisure project of mine, i usually think about it in Computer class. I just would like for ppl to post some links to tuts and maybe some physics programs so when i get home, i can dl them. Tuts especially would be extremely helpful. (if anyone wants to know, i got a Halo 3 sprite sheet...) Remember, i just started at programming, so i am a complete noob. Thnx in advance!
what programming language are you giong to use? I'm gonna guess C# or C++ but i'm not entirely sure. I'm making a space invaders game right now in my c++ class with a group of like 8 of us. Getting a graphics engine is the biggeset pain in the ass.
I'm not exactly sure which ill use, i really did just start learning how to, and i havent started yet. Just in the planning sessions.
Flash is quite a good tool to use. It's easy enough for even beginners to use with the amount of tutorials about. The graphics are also really easy to use (seeing as it's an animation program first), so if I might, I'd suggest Adobe Flash CS3.
Y'k now, I think ill just let this dream die. I've got too many things on my plate to add making a game. Maybe in the summer?...
