I'm really hoping Bungie fixes this in either ODST or Halo 4. If it wasn't there, I can only imagine what we'd be making right now. -Mario kart-length racetracks still with great aesthetics -gigantic 5-story, 8-by-8 (block) forts -Extreme aesethetics on even the largest maps -Create a gigantic dome in the first or second floor of sandbox -Combine some large aesthetic maps with real maps (like have a huge dinosaur stampede or something as aesthetics and have a map underneath.) -More real-life jail/government facilities -remakes of cities altogether -bigger obstacle courses -you can come up with some yourself The point is, possibilities would be almost endless (of course, some of these might require the object counter limit to maybe double) Some other things I'd like to see added to forge: -trees (anybody ever played the modded ForestHalla? ...at least 50 trees) -ability to make objects move in a set path (think real rollercoasters, ferris wheels, AMUSEMENT PARKS!!) -Merging and geomerging made easier. (although that's half the coolness of Forge, many better custom games would result from it) -ability to graffiti logos approved by bungie or words onto walls. -Plenty more of ideas, but I think I'll stop here.
all I was hopping for? placeable doors that open with a remote placeable switch. more tele channels and teles, and the purple gravlift beams. those with placeable bottom / top points.
You can't fix the hard limit. Thats where the map would start to lag like crazy if you placed any more objects, so there is a limit. Also, The ideas you proposed probably wouldn't work except maybe trees.
On Bungie they said they can change it if they completely rewrite the code for forge. I don't know, there's gotta be some way to fix it. Maybe when the xbox720 comes out...
Sorry, I meant to say without changing what forge is, which would be time consuming and would require a huge title update. It will never happen with halo 3 or ODST. Maybe in a future game though.
Sorry but you're making some really **** accusations: Firstly, the xbox 360 wasn't called the xbox 2 or xbox mark II because MS wanted to be original. Therefore there's nothing original about "xbox 720"; that's as original as 'xbox 2'. You're also assuming that MS will amke another console. Secondly, Halo 3 ODST will be like GTA IV: TLAD. It'll just be like an expansion pack but just for achievements and campaign. And if there's a Halo 4, especially now the Halo series has jumped the shark with Halo 3, forge will probably be completely different (as in like a Far Cry 2 style map editor).I probably won't even buy Halo 3 ODST and if Halo 4 IS made, I won't want to know. So yeah, if forge, halo and xbox 720 will happen then MAYBE the hard limit will be more leniant. But even if this happens, they won't be able to remove it
Halo 3 ODST also comes with the second half of the Mythic Map Pack, Fish Fingers, don't forget that tidbit of information. I'm also curious to see the new campaign they're working on. Oh, and a ladder-type of piece would have been incredibly useful.
This will never happen, unless Bungie makes a series dedicated to "Forge", because it would take a lot of work, and also a lot of time.
Super Cansir? But anyways, I dont know why Bungie divided the map in 3, Its just a waste, combine them into one big map, Or sell the skybox as a seperate map. Does it cost them much more to sell 4 smaller maps as opposed to 3 big ones?
Yup...I've heard multiple times and seen a few times that there will be an "Xbox 720" coming out in 2010 or 11 (forgot) and they are considering making a halo 4 for it, but they aren't sure yet.
I thought there wouldn't be a Halo 4, as Halo 3 was the last game in the trilogy. Unless you meant a 4th Halo game, it is highly unlikely. Wait...isn't some other company besides Bungie making Halo 4? Gearbox or something? They better not kill the whole Halo series.
