This map was made by myself (harlequin11087), vanquish0171, and redwolf0612. We wanted our map to be a huge hit, so we made the map as big as we could. We really can't put more items on the map. We tried..... Anyway, most maps that we've looked at from forgehub and bungie only use one area of Sandbox. The middle area. We wanted something different, something fresh.... something less sandy. So, we made use of all THREE areas. We call them the Desert, the Armory, and the Key. Recommended Gametypes: Team Slayer, Big Team, Free-for-All Recommended Players: 4-16 Vehicles: 1 Chain Warthog 1 Prowler 1 Mongoose 1 Ghost 1 Banshee Equipment/Powerups: 2 Bubble Shields 2 Grav Lifts 2 Power Drains 2 Regenerators 1 Camo 1 Overshield Weapons: 7 Battle Rifles 3 Spartan Sniper Rifles 1 Beam Rifle 3 Shotguns 3 Rocket Launchers 1 Missile Pod 2 Plasma Swords 1 Gravity Hammer 3 Maulers 2 SMGs 2 Plasma Rifles 1 Needler 2 Spartan Lasers 1 Flamethrower 2 Spikers Without further ado, here are some pics of the bases. Views overall from both sides. If you notice the building in the middle with the Banshee AKA The Banshee Bay. You can only get to it by correctly traveling through certain portals. Don't worry, you won't get stuck inside if someone gets there before you and steals your ride. There are high-altitude sniper perches for both bases. This is blue base side. ...And the red side. Looking down a scope sight is so much prettier in my opinion. Here is a underside view of the Key. .... And an aerial. See, why we call it the Key? Down to the Armory now. And here's how you get out. The cannon-man will launch you right over the kill balls with your new weapons, but only if you hit it straight on. Otherwise, you might die a bright, firey death. Please, please, please try out our map and let us know what you think. You can download here: Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details Now, GO KILL STUFF!!
Looks fun It looks like a dicent map but could use afew changes for better game play. Big team slayer and CTF looks fun on it and im sure will check it out! So keep up the good work! 3.5/5
Yea this could use some fixing the kill balls ruin the fun and try puting the weapons around the map not just in one room. 2.5/5
This is in competitive? But, it has a noob armory of power weapons. I thought powerweapon armorys are only in fail camping noob infection games. Well, I liked your concept for the whole map, but really, my only problem in this maap is the fact that there's an armory. That's a big no no. Also, couldn't someone just nade jump into the banshee bay? This map needs some work. Take the weapons out of the armory and just make it a place to fight. This map looks like fun, but with the armory, I can't take it seriously. Also, it looks pretty sloppy. Good luck next time.
Well like SVV33T SAUC3 said, remove the armory. It destroys gameplay and fun, seeing as how if someone were to go down there, they would be almost impossible to kill. Also this is very open and is sloppy. You need to add a lot more cover on the ground level, especially with the banshee. Walls and bumps need fixing and remember to take out that armory. Sorry but no download. EDIT: Sorry, but forget what I said about the sloppiness part. I could've sworn that it looked sloppy from the pictures. It really isn't sloppy, just the openness and armory. Again, my apologies.
it's allright, but you should remove the armoury. also you can grenade jump into the banshee bay easily, you should make it taller in a future version.
The armor, like Sweet said, could ruin the game play, by making a bunch of people carry around power weapons, and they won't die. The key is a great idea, as well as the red and blue bases in the middle of the map. I see a few walls that could be fixed up, so you might consider making a V2.
It looks a bit empty and plain, but it does look playable and I like how you incorporated the skybubble into the map as well.
thanks for the input, guys. we've been working on the armory aspect so it's just a basement now with a hidden pistol. pretty much like my house. we reduced the amount of power weapons on the map, and we put BRs instead of sniper rifles spawning at the bases, along with a few other tweaks. ABlindGuy: which walls in particular did you notice? and do you know of a method for getting things directly aligned? i've been using double blocks as a guide, but sometimes the pieces still come out crooked. we will most definitely be releasing a V2 of Deserted. again, thanks for the comments!
