    Map Name: Battle Crypt
    Base Map: Sandbox

Description: This map is essentially a remake of Battle Creek (aka Beaver Creek). The map is not intended to be an exact duplicate although the layout is similar as well as the weapon spawns. There are several levels to each base with multiple entrances and portals at opposite ends of the map. Any Halo fan should immediately recognize the similarities to the original.

This map is best enjoyed playing Team Slayer or CTF.

i thought it was a pretty good remake at first glance. i liked the size, the paths to get on top of the bases. it seems to feel like how beaver creek should feel in halo 3. the heart is there, and the map has potential.

it is on the other hand a bit sloppy, in the red base i could walk into a crack in the wall which lead to a big gap inside the base which would not be good for a flag game cause it could lead to a team hiding in the super secret hiding spot.

once cleaned up and redone with a good idea now of how you'll build the bases i think it could be a 5/5 but for now ill just leave my non expert opinion with a 3/5.

just clean it up and ill make it will have a permanent spot on my hard drive.

    hope this helps :]

Eh I thought I'd found all of the cracks. I probably moved something to make an alignment adjustment and ended up with it that way. The real issue with cracks in this map is I don't want to interlock every block on the map and there are just enough bumps here in there in random objects to make tight seals difficult to manage. When I find them all there will be a v2. :p Otherwise I've had some great TS games on this map already.

Edit: Thanks for not including "snap to grid options" Bungie!

Anybody want to evaluate the playability of this map for me (minus the critique on block alignment)?

I haven't played this map yet, so I have to critique on what I see from the pics and the description. Mostly I agree with everything Justice has said, as well as in overview pic, the only way to the top of the red base, is to jump on the blocks (as far as I can tell), which could be very difficult for inexperienced players that want to play competitively on this map. Other than a few minor things you have to align, or fix up, it looks like a very great map.

There are a set of ramps/blocks on the sides of each base to facilitate easy jumps up to the roof. The jumps are not difficult even for inexperienced players.

The BB code should be in there! I copied it out of a "BB Code" link on the website where the image is hosted. I'm not sure what you mean by the comment.

Edit: And both my replies and yours are part of "the thread". :p
