Well, you can pick up a pistol/shotgun off some of the EDF, but that's it :/ But, I figure if you wanted to marvel at some of the cooler weapons, here a few videos that have recently come out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_kAHqWS1FM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hmHQpIIg2g GameSpot Video: Red Faction: Guerrilla Developer Diary With Drew Holmes #2 The third vid is a lil laggy, but definitely one of the best RF videos I've seen.
After being without my 360 for nearly a week, I got it back today. I got online to download the demo, and to my surprise it said that my subscription reverted from Gold to Silver. The demo is Gold member exclusive.
I'd just like everyone to know that the release date for Red Faction: Guerrilla has been pushed up to June 2nd. One week less of painful anticipation!
I think it looks really cool, especially the sledgehammer. But i've just never been a fan of third-person shooters. The controls are always sketchy and and I'm never able to be looking exactly where I want to be.
I finally got to play the demo, and I must say that it's a very short demo! The destruction is really nice, but it's only a matter of time before it gets boring. I just hope the Singleplayer is long enough to sustain itself for the summer. As for Multiplayer, I really can't wait to see how that is. The idea of backpacks with certain abilities seems really interesting.
The destruction is so advanced that you can take out the same building in thousands of ways. As for length, that was just 1 mission out of 120, and that is considered a short mission, from what i have see. So even if every mission is 10 minutes, then there will be around 20 hours of playing time, plus just messing around, getting to the missions, and spending time collecting and buying items. Also, mulitplayer will add some good length.
Yeah, that's true. There may be more weapons that will make destroying buildings a lot better than it is in the demo. I didn't really say the length of the Singleplayer wouldn't be long, I'm just worried about how much replayability it has.
I think Volition has done a good job of allowing the player to play however they want. I know I'll probably go through the first time and just kind of improvise. Then, maybe I'll try stealth, or a more vehicle oriented play style.
I wonder if they'll have cheats for the game. That's what I liked so much about Saints Row 1 and 2. Messing with cheats provides hours of fun for me.
I know I already mentioned this, but yesterday the Multiplayer Demo for Red Faction was confirmed! There's no date yet, but I can't wait!
Been and gone. Twas a beta and only ign insiders and a few other subscription sites got codes and it apparently sucked.
