Hey fellow Forge Hubbers! Last night I thought of an amazing idea for a map. Following are the details: Mega Elephant Mega Elephant would be a map like no other(well, kinda like a few ). This map is based around 2 completely different bases: a Mega Elephant and a Scarab. Mega Elephant is as follows: a spiritual successor to the original sandtrap elephant, but on a much larger scale. this elephant would be about the same size as 33%-50% of sandbox's main floor, and be an absolute behemoth. Equipped with a small landing pad, several turrets on both sides, and forward-mounted stationary rockets, this would dominate the battlefield with anything short of super-scarabs. the rest of the map would be a large scarab that somewhat overshadows the elphant, but not too drastically. it would be about the same as a normal campaign scarab, but maybe a little more room in the belly, extending down a floor. then the bomb plant/flag spawn would spawn in the underbelly while some weapons spawn where the usual weak spot is. the elephant should be made with 3 machine guns turrets on each side, with a ramp in the front, and a small barrier seperating the front from the air strip. this air strip would keep a single hornet, ready to take off after 30 seconds in. this would be an important advantage over the banshee the scarab would have. then the forward-mounted cannon should be in the cockpit, with a small shield door and a hole iin front of it to retreat behind if things get ugly. the cannon itself would be fusion coils pushed into a tube to the side, which then fires the fusion coil into 1 of 3 trajectories; downward, to protect against vehicles, an arc, to make it like artillery attacking the scarab, or straight, which would end up at the main gun, attempting to cripple it. then the operator would have a missile pod with instant respawn, to fire continuously at the scarab. the armor on the elephant would be mostly front-heavy, just an arch of armor covering the front half from aerial and ground attack. it is important to have (broken?) treads for an enemy to climb up on for a sneak attack. the scarab should have a back ramp as well, but a little off the ground; just large enough to prevent anything short of a grenade jump. choppers, ghosts, etc. would spawn here, while the banshee has its own little corral above. the main gun for the scarab would be similar to the elephants, only it has power cores and fuel rod guns instead. the aerial back-mounted gun will have plasma turrets and ehild doors to retreat behind. it should have a (possible) sniper as well. there could also be some structures between the behemoths, to prevent it from being a solely vehicular-centric map.
I've seen a decent scarab made in sandbox, but the trouble is the budget, it would definately have to be on a glitched canvas.
