Many people know about Harmonix's hit rhythm game Rock Band, and it's sequel Rock Band 2.

Well, according to IGN, there are three new Rock Bands games in development for the series: Rock Band: The Beatles, Rock Band: Unplugged, and (I'm not lying about this one) LEGO Rock Band.

For those who don't believe me:

I posted something similar to this detailing future RB and GH releases, and I just have one thing to say...

Lego Rock Band is the dumbest idea in recent gaming history.

Very true but to be honest I could give a **** that it is lego as long as there is a solid setlist.

Your forgetting that classic trackpack **** too btw

Though unplugged is not actually being developed by Harmonix, it's being developed by someone else..and being mothered by Harm.

**** music games honestly. Too much, too fast...they can now all be thrown in a pit with CoD and oh I'm sorry "Modern Warfare" and burn.

Don't condemn the games, condemn the developers and publishers.

Honestly, I have to agree with you there.

Rock Band and Guitar Hero haven't been picking as many good tracks in recent times (there are few here and there, however), and it's really been making the games dull for every instrument.

As for Call of Duty, I'm really hoping Modern Warfare 2 will make up for the steaming pile of **** Trearch gave us.

Hey, Infinity Ward is making MW2. Treyarch made COD3, COD:WAW, and some other crap games.

Well, I'm excited for Rock Band: Beatles, but I'm afraid Harmonix is going down the "Guitar Hero path" by releasing one-band-only games.

Just like on another forum that I'm a member of, a member questioned about when is there going to be Rock Band 3? Well, theoretically there is no point to even need a Rock Band 3, due to the weekly down-loadable content that arrives every week for Rock Band. That is why they come up with idiotic ideas to make idiotic, pointless games.

That's exactly what people said about Rock Band 1 as well.

Well, knowing Harmonix, they'll one release a Rock Band 3 if they make major improvements and changes to the game. Even then, players would probably be able to import songs from Rock Band and Rock Band 2, and all the previous DLC will still work.

    Why would you assume that?

Rock Band 2 is practically a carbon copy of the first.

Yeah, but no major improvements like you said. Also, the RB2 peripherals actually had a larger failure rate than the RB1 set.

As for Rock Band Beatles, I could really care less about it.
Yet, for those who like it I have some information for you.

Harmonix and MTV today announce two new Beatles-themed guitar controllers going on sale when The Beatles: Rock Band hits stores in September - the Rickenbacker 325 and Gretsch Duo Jet.

The Rickenbacker 325 and Gretsch Duo Jet are a pair of full-bodied, classic guitars used extensively by John Lennon and George Harrison throughout their careers.

The guitars will be made available as standalone music peripheral controllers for The Beatles: Rock Band. They will be made available for MSRP $99.99 in the U.S. and in continental Europe for MSRP €99.99 and for MSRP £89.99 in the UK.

    Link.

Also, here's another Link showing a confirmation that Rock Band Beatles will be able to support three vocalists at one time.

I would never buy them, but those are some badass guitars.
