    Hey everyone! This is the first map i've ever made in forge, it is a symmetrical map for fast paced CTF games similar to Onslaught Flag. Yes, The basic layout of the map is based from the Gears of War 2 map Ruins.

    I am looking for Constructive Criticism towards the rockets and sniper. I would like to know if you whink these weapons are a good asset to the map. should there be no power weapons!? is the amount of ammunition is acceptable? ex:would you like more snipe amo? or if it is fine how it is. If I get enough feedback I will make further versions of Degausser and touch up on minor problems such as the power weapons and bumps on the floor etc. Thanks! Hope you enjoy Degausser!

    Thanks, Now that I think about it I am probably going to replace it with the Mauler, I'll probably get to it by tonight or feel free to place it there your selves and everyone please leave feedback on which plays smoother.

    i like the layout but you def need to interlock more that will make it more enjoyable to play. when i saw the first pic i thought it sucked but then i scrolled down and it look great so i downloaded it. i give it a 3/5.

    This definitely looks interesting. The layout looks really clean and original. One thing though, you should take screenshots without the scoreboard. It just gets in the way and is distracting from the screenshot of the map. Plus it is sort of annoying.
    I'll be sure to download this though.

    EDIT: Yah definitely go with the mauler. Rockets and snipers work better with medium and bigger maps. Maulers are pretty much perfect for map sizes such as this.

    Hey guys, I've already put the mauler top mid in place of Rockets, I'm still going to wait for more feedback before I make the decision wheather or not I should keep sniper on the map because I think off the break of a game it makes a fun fight for the snipes, kind of like getting rocks on the pit.
    On a second note a was in the middle of merging the tops of the middle ramps with the huge blocks to create less of a bump when walking down it, but unfortunately bungie screws me over and it ends the game when I select new round when I havent saved yet, 2 hours down the drain :[ so if anyone who is a expert forger would like to help out perfecting the little defects on the map I'd be glad to give some credit for the map, as I am still new to forging.

    it's a pretty cool map. it is a little simple, in the fact that there aren't very many places to go. sniper and mauler are it's only attractions. however, i agree with your conservatism on weapons considering the map design. the flooring is a little bumpy aw well. as far as gears of war goes, i hated ruins but it being "upconverted" to halo definitely helps. it plays a lot better in halo than it did in gears. 3.5/5

    After a few games it was extremely easy to spawn camp and everyone started leaving after that. It reminds me of a small version of Narrows, 2/5 for the resemblance of previous Bungie maps and poor decision with spawn locations.

    This looks like a very interesting map, mostly like a competitive MLG map, than a regular slayer map, but that's fine with me. If it is related to GoW, I don't see any resemblance to it, but I guess that's good. But like Relentless said, it looks very easy to spawn camp, as well as the flooring and the walls look a little bumpy. You can make a V2, making the walls and floors straighter, as well as making the spawns better.

    I'd like to give you some pointers on how to make it better.
    Like some people have said, it is kinda bumpy and some areas need some work. Also the spawns are pretty bad and I can help you with that too if you'd like. Also this map is pretty small for more than a 1v1/2v2/4 man FFA. I think 2v2 would run the best though.

    aww man, im about 1/4 done with a map im making and it was also a remake of "Ruins" from Gears Of War 2 lol great job with the map, its very creative that you put a "outline" picture to give a feeling of the pathway. With the sniper, i dont know how that kinda gameplay would work out, i was confused if i should put it in on my map, but a mauler on top-mid is a lot better than a rocket. Great job with the map though.

    Good job on the remake, fairly accurate representation of one of the better Gears maps.
    The only thing is weather or not it works with regular gametypes.
    I would assume it does, but it depends on the weapon placements.
    ill DL it and see how well it works with team slayer.

    Jokes? He says it's based off of a GoW map, and it also looks like Narrows.

    Poster: I see why you put this map in the skybubble, but you shouldn't have built the floors with double walls. Not only do they make maps bumpy as hell, but maps are just so much better when there is a fall distance below the map. It makes me not even want to download your map.
