DOWNLOAD THE MAP HERE DOWNLOAD THE GAMETYPE HERE For those unfamiliar, Smash TV is an arcade classic. Based on an extremely violent and futuristic gameshow, the player is trapped in a square room as bat-swinging enemies come from all sides. I have successfully re-created this gametype in Halo 3 and I must say, its amazing. [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qibK4k18Ry8[/youtube] ^An image and a video for those who are unfamiliar with the arcade game. The way I made this gametype and map work in Halo 3 is simple. Using the infection gametype as a canvas, everyone except for one player starts out as an infected carrying a grav hammer. EVERYONE has no shield, the drones (aka the Infected) all move at 90% speed, yet have the advantage of spawning from all sides around the player. No grenades spawn with either side. The player starts with an assault rifle (which is pretty close to your default gun in Smash TV), with ammo laying around everywhere for it so you'll never truly run out. Weapons and powerups on the map will spawn at different times, but the the weapons are short on ammo and the powerups will run out quickly (just like in Smash TV). However these weapons are pretty key to your survival against the onslaught of enemies. The weapons and powerups are very similar to the ones found in Smash TV (The Fuel Rod Gun as the "Grenade Launcher", the Shotgun as the "Spreader", the custom powerup as the speed pickup, etc.) Also, gravity is set to max (there's no jumping in Smash TV) and there's no motion tracker. Obviously a lot of players (at least 8) are needed to play this gametype or else it becomes unbalanced. However, the more people you get to play the more fun the gametype will be! A 16 player maxed room would be an absolute blast. definitely downloading!!! i used to LOVE smash TV and now someone finally made it a map in Halo... props to ya... looks good and im sure it plays good.... hopefully ill get the right amount of guys together nd well try it out :]
