Ruin's Hey this is my map Ruins. It's basically a map of the ruins of Egypt and what things would look like when a team of scientists and archeologists discover the remains. The map features a Compound, 3 pyramids of different sizes, the ruins of the great fort of Agra and a Shrine to Set (Egyptian god). If this map is a success then i will next rebuild the entire city, pyramids, homes and buildings all, so this is my first attempt at what will hopefully become a trilogy with the Ruins of Egypt, the Golden city in the sand and the war that buried it all, the last map will be a slayer map. This was not built as a slayer map, although it does have some good features that might make for some fun team slayer games, either with random weapons or BR's. Spawn points are in the center so if you plan to use this for slayer or anything else you'll have to do a bit of forgeing. Anyway I've talked enough so I'll show you some pics and let you decide what you think. And one small note, on my Pyramids (front) picture it shows a killball, i took that out but haven't replaced the picture yet, i will soon, but for now just pretend its not there. Thanks. Compound Fire Place Mongoose Garage Fort Ruins Pyramids (Front) btw, i took out the killball as you'll notice on my Shrine picture, so just pretend that's not there. Pyramids (Side) Shrine Anyway there you go, that's it, please comment or criticize, i need input on what i can do better for the next one, so try it out if you want, or just leave a comment please. This isn't a very creative idea of a map, but it was very well executed! This looks very good compared to what I was thinking at first. The only thing I dislike about it is the killball. What is it supposed to represent? Anyway, nice job on the fireplace. have some kind of self destructing pallets (i.e never-respawning fusion coils dropping on them at the start) to make it look like scrap wood was used. Anyway, it looks very clean and nice looking.
only suggestion I could make to imprve this map specifically would to make it look more ruin-ey (I.E. missing pieces, toppled/tilted pieces, etc.)
lol your right, I've thought about it a bit and i now realize that i should have called it excavation, not ruins, its a better fitting name, but oh well. I might re post it maybe.
