    This map is now may favorite conquest map ever!!! I've never seen such a well forged map with with such amazing aesthetics before! The game play however, is still a little cramped and crowded. Its kinda scary when you spawn and your whole team dead and all of a sudden the enemy bursts into your first territory and you accidentally **** yourself=P If I would recommend any changes to the map, I would have to say that you should make it so the players spawn in a chute above the the ceiling, and they would drop down, as if entering a real mine shaft.
    Great forging, I hope to see more conquest maps out of you soon!

    I downloaded this map and it is beautiful. I really liked the aesthetics. The gameplay is fantastic. I also liked the weapon placement on this too. This map is greatt all over and is probably flawless. I also like what you did with the wood and the ceilings to make the star shaped thing and I liked the little triangles sticking out of the walls too. Good job.

    I have played a game on this map. I thought it was fun, but had some flaws.

    The first flaw I found which explains others is consistency. Most of the map looks the same, and it is hard to tell where you are. You may think your close to your base, but you are actually just around the corner of the enemies'. This gives a disorienting feel. I am never quite sure where I am. You need to have something that sets it self out from the rest of the map. Last Resort has the Wheel for example. I am not saying that you recreate something that colossal, but it could help. It would help there players better understand where they are at any given time. I will explain what I think you should do later.

    The second flaw I found has to do with the middle. In my opinion, in Conquest maps, there should be something that sets the middle apart from the rest. I am sure you under stand this. If you made it more noticeable instead of it blending in with the rest of the map, it could help in several ways. If the middle is different, you can easily identify it. Therefore, a player can tell where they are based on if they have passed it or not yet. This really helps create a mental image in the player's head. This leads to rewarding knowledge of the gametype (knowing that you should hold onto the center) and the map (knowing where the center is and what it looks like).

    The third flaw goes hand in hand with the second. The center territory should stand out from the rest, not just aesthetically but in layout also. Territories 2, 3, and 4 are basically the same layout-wise. The center need to be different. I am sure you understand this, after making Of The Essence and Drop Shock (Great one!). The center are need to be different, in my opinion. I suggest making it in to a circular room (to keep to the style) with entrances/exits on either side. Sort of like this -O- or .O. The -/.'s representing the entrances. If you are lost aesthetically, I though you could make it more stone-like with railroad tracks like mines had. This would help out the other flaws, also.

    Gunnergrunt, I really like this map. The layout is very well done and the forging is spectactular. Great aesthetic theme. Overall, good map but could be great. I hope you consider what I have said. Good Luck.

    I can see where you are coming from when you say that it looks a little repetitive within the tunnels. I wanted to keep it as symmetrical i could, so i simply used the red and blue lights to aid navigation. While you are in the tunnel, you should always see a colored light at either exit of the section you are in at the time. Use the lights for navigation. Remember that the purple light is in the middle while the red or blue lights are in each starting area (your team color will be the same color as your starting area). You can also use the direction of the turns to orient yourself inside the mines. Take a look at the layout before you play the map. Its fairly simple, so once you have it memorized, you should be fine.

    As for the central territory. You said that it looks the same as the other sections of the map. It is similar but the ceiling it quite different from the joining sections. You will notice that the ceiling is much higher and it has a different texture as well. The purple lighting effect also gives it a different atmosphere compared to the rest of the map. As for the shape of the middle, I wanted it to be the same as the other sections. Not to be plain and receptive, but to keep the map organized and assassination-free. You mentioned my other conquest map, Drop Shock. It uses one of the layout styles you recommended. But if you will remember, there are always many assassinations at the opening to the middle territory. So the layout on Gold Rush, solves that problem. I see where you are coming from, but there are subtle differences that make the center the focal point of the map.

    I'm glad you like the map, and i'm even more pleased that you took the time to write out your thoughts. I always appreciate comments from those who actually play the map. I will consider your suggestions.

    This is one of the best conquest maps I've seen on sandbox. All the merging looks smooth and the gold pieces in the wall are a great aesthetic touch. 5/5 and a definite dl from me.

    wow I love how you used tin cups for the floor also how the corners of walls are sticking out it makes you feel like you are in a cave 5/5 keep on forging!

    Another amazing map by GunnerGrunt (the manthat got me into conquest)

    Asthetically brilliant and fun gameplay.
    The lack of blind corners makes the map loads better with no more players ninjaing others it makes it more fun.
    Only problem which is one that has been highlighted before and that is that the map is a bit too small. The teams shouldn't be spawning capturing positions.

    This possibly my favourite Conquest map. I love the design- The o-so-well-done curves must have been a bugger to, considering their perfection. You deffiantly know how to make a theme (The gold spots through the map are a great feature), which makes the gameplay so much better. I had a load of fun playing on this map 10/10.

    This map is amazing i love it the gameplay is great for 3v3 which is really the only type of game i can play because only a few of my friends lilke to play customs. The feel to the map is awesome i love the cieling with the wood planks sticking out, the walls with the gold sticking out, and the perfect grass floor (although i dont think that grass would grow in a gold mine) the grass still gives it a great feel. I love how you made the flags stick out of the ground and how all the weapons are hung on the wall. Overall if i could i would give this map a 100/10 but i'm going to have to go with a 10/10 i dl'd before i posted this and i loved it great job gunnergrunt and keep on forging these precious maps and i hope this gets a feature.

    well i really like this map. not the layout. but i love the way u mader it look like a true goldmine with the roof so worth a download but i have the RROD

    i'm so glad i was introduced to a good conquest map, im thankful to stumbled upon a map like this one. It was genius with the caves with gold rocks and grass as a walk-way. THe only think i suggest is it not to be so claustraphobic, but i guess that won;t be happening ha ha Impressive map 10/10

    this has got to be one of my favorite maps because it is very aesthietically pleasing and its fun. whats a map if its not fun right? great job grunt. hope to see more great maps!!

    Beautiful Map my dude. The design suit the name wonderfully. I never played conquest once in my life but when I looked at the map the interior design amazed me, that's wat I like most about maps when your enclosed in them. I really like how you did the ceiling, you definitely pulled off the mine shaft look. I do agree with the penguin tho grass in a mine shaft? but thats much better than the terrain on sandbox surface I know what you where trying to do and you did it well great job man keep up the nice work. I think Ima take a shot a making one of these conquest maps they look pretty cool at least this one and Messiah

    the layout of your map impresses me the most, it's very smooth and unlike any thing else i've seen. The weapon placement is also beautiful, just well placed. Good luck in your competition!

    Wow, this map is insane. Ir's so authentic, which make its different from so many maps. Awesome work and a DL from me.
