Twin Towers [v2]

    Twin Towers
    Two Towers, Two Teams, Two Times the Carnage



    Map: Vallhalla
    Map Variant: Twin Towers
    Gametype(s) Recommended: FFA, Team Slayer, Territories, All CTF, Infection.
    Description: Which ever gametype chosen, both teams battle it out to beat one another. There are two somewhat symmetrical bases (same vehicles, weapons). Each base has a teleporter (where the banshee normally is) which leads them to their team's tower. Both towers are not symmetrical (different layout, same weaponary). All gametypes contain sufficient respawn points, making it impossible to be spawn killed.

    looks like a good map, but from the pics, out looks like some parts of the bases don't look very sturdy. This map reminds me of a infection map called watchtower.it looks like a good CTF map but not really a fun FFA map. I give it a 3/5 because there doesn't seem to be much to do when your not in the tower.

    I was wondering, does the blue beam that goes off of the tower every so often affect gameplay? I remember getting killed by it once in forge

    If you are standing on the very top of the tower it can kill you, but will not affect you if you are on any other part of the tower it won't affect you.

    Some bugs and problems have been found and fixed, I took some things out and added others and moved some things around.

    The two towers are sturdy enough to walk on them or to snipe/shoot from. Now if you shoot it with a tank or a rocket launcher, it might fall off, but it will spawn back. The link to the newer version of this map can be found on the first post :)

    looks like an ok map but isnt it a little risky calling a building you must attack the twin towers?

    If you stand up against the wall, theres probably a 50% chance of getting hit. but its not likely that your going to camp up against the wall. and the blue beam doesnt knock off the crates or turret boxes.

    You dont neccesarily attack the towers. The towers are just tools to help the teams get kills. Its basically slayer (or any other gametype) on steroids.

    From the pics, the tower structures look crooked and not sturdy, but they are. There are vehicles in the map, and other goodies outside the bases, so there is somewhat more to do outside the towers, but there might be focused attention on the towers, so it might not always be a safe place to camp out. I'll get some better pics soon. Gametypes that are probably going to be more fun are team slayer, and CTF, and Assault once i get v3 out. Infection is alright, but Im currently working on making a Tower map just for Infection. Territories is also a good gametype for this map. I personally recommend Flag Rally. FFA is ok, its possible, but it would be boring because the map is too large.

    Version 2 contains fixes in Territories and CTF gametypes. It also contains respawn point fixes, and vehicle balance fixes. I also changed took some weapons out of certain spots so that there would be more balance with the weaponry.

    And for people posting regarding my double posts: Im pretty sure i get it after the first person posted about the second time i did it. I dont need 4 more people telling me about it, so stop posting just to tell me stop double posting. And Chuck Norris, i dont get what you mean by the march 27/24 thing. And yes i know, I hate double/triple/quadruple posters also. Sometimes i feel compelled to do it for some reason though. I'll stop though, even if my thread dies.

    I think i just got a migrane trying to read that. LOL
