Ginseng Created by: lTz Adrenaline This is Ginseng a 4v4 symmetrical Team Slayer Map. The map is built on the ground level of sandbox. It has huge pillars, big Valhalla inspired bases and a sweet center structure. Some of the structures on this map are inspired from many different maps I have seen. The game play is not frantic and chaotic it plays at a normal pase and is very fun. This map took about a week to create, it's geo merged in some spots. The map doesn't have bumps. It's not perfect just yet cause keep in mind this map is more of a beta verison. Recommended game types: Team Slayer BRs, Multi Flag BRs and KOTH. As you can see some of the objects are geo merged already. This map has no room for an other object unless i delete something. It supports: Team Slayer, Multi Flag, Oddball and KOTH. the map looks really good, but there's a big problem. You need to add more coverage at the bases like on top of them and put some other stuff, because the map is empty.
This map does look reall great. The weapon layout isfine and the aesthetics are very good too. One problem. Touch up on the cover. If you can see a person standing on their base from your base then that's not a good thing. I really like the banshee spawn, but seen as how it's elevated, couldn't someone just throw a grenade in the right pplace and have it flip over to their side? If you put chest high railings around the side of the platform then it would keep the people from doing that. Good job.
this is one of the few maps here i actually want to download, so feel proud.! this is forged almost to perfection, the geomerging is rather outstanding and the map loks pretty even, well done ill come back to say what else i find when i play it, 4/5
I love this map!!! THis map is one of the best so far because like many of bungie's maps, its semi open and then there are parts that are not. this maps is really fun and i would recommend it to anyone who wants to play a great team slayer game.
fantastic map dude. this is a definate download. i realy like the layout on this map. you should add a bit of cover though. 4,5/5 congratulations.
As said above, the map LOOKS extremely impressive and well made. The bases are nice and the center piece also is pretty eye catching. Upon download, however, I would like to point out 2 very important flaws. First: I found the team in control of the middle section had an huge advantage over the game. Another example of this problem would be Valhalla, if you open up the map you can see that, and when playing this map often in matchmaking, you can tell that the spartan laser controls the warthog and the snipers control the bases. Now, this is not always true (I am a Valhalla fan) it is often that one team gets laser and warthog the middle hill and with the sniper they can cripple the other team. Yes the other base has a sniper, but that person will eventually run out of ammo. After a game on this map, I found that the gameplay resembles the flaw of Valhalla and you should create a v2 that has more spawning areas. ZI would suggest more of a "rounded" layout such as an oval and create some bases and strength points around the sides of the map to create some more spawn areas, balance (as far as control of the middle) and rid the map on the "2 base annoying feel.
Thanks for all the comments I'll go ahead and make a v2 of the map with more cover and try to switch it up a little bit. The only problem is that I have reached the object limit so I might have to sacrifice a few ascetics. Just leave a comment on what you think I should redo, without having to change the entire map? wow this looks really nice and a good layout yet origional and it looks fun to play on unfortunately I can't play on it becuase I hae RROD... oh and great geomerging I suck at geomerging i'm only good at midair interlocking at angles (go figure i'm a racetrack maker lol) Great map man =)
This map deserves a bit more recognition than its gotten. The center structure ramp thingy for the banshee is awesome, and the ramp thing beneath it equally cool. The geomerging is simple and effective, and the map layout lends to fun gameplay. We played 4V4 on it, and it was a lot of fun. The banshee dominated however, even with the laser being on the map. Agamer was in the banshee for a significant amount of time before being taken down. The whole map is basically about getting the banshee and then controlling your base. I liked the gameplay a lot, maybe you can think of a way to balance out that banshee a little better and this would be even more amazing. Definitely not going to be deleting this for a while.
I just finished updating the map with a missile pod in place of the shotgun also changed some spawns and made the banshee spawn every 60 sec.
