On the Terminal level, I did better with 3 computer players than with 3 real ones which is hilarious. I was able to get 8:10, just by standing behind the little bar, and barricading the opening with trashcans, carts and luggage. It makes the horde have to climb up over just like the rest of it. Whenever there was a clear point, I simply ran to the healthpacks and ammo and grabbed another pipebomb. Survival is fun as ****!!!
I made it to 4:35 by my self! I loaded up on supplies, got a Hunting Rifle, some explosives, some booze, and some moar explosives, camped out on the Lighthouse Tower, and got owned by three Tanks at once. I spent twenty minutes figuring out how to start the damn game too!
I heard the best strategy is to play with four players on Lighthouse and go to the pipe bomb floor level and all of you crouch. This eliminates the swarms of zombies because you all take you side, the smokers can't get you with their tongues, so the only thing you really need to worry about is the tanks and you all just gang up on them. *Haven't tried it yet, but it seems like it would work.
It works, but if the railings on the tower fall, a hunter could hit you, and when you stand up, a smoker could hit you, and the fall will most likely kill you.
It's killing me to play this, but alas I still can't. However, I have been looking into it to get ideas, and I found this guy here who has some great videos of L4D survival making it to Gold on every map. YouTube - JosefVStalin's Channel
yeah my new best time is 7:32, which i got on the crane crescendo in dead air (no glitching). Our strategy was to run around the little building with 2 people in front mowing down zombies with machine guns and have two people running backwards with shotguns. It was funny as the tank would run around the building after us
