I remember playing this, it was really fun, and I loved the plasma rifle mirror thing, it was creepy when two people walked past at the same time. lol the aesthetics were cool, and i think that this should be considered for featurism.
This map is fantastic is many regards. The aesthetics are gorgeous, interlocking is accomplished superbly. The "mirror" is a really nice touch and kinda trips you out at first. I especially am a fan of the ledge by the mirror that the plasma rifles are on. I am going to steal that from you, fyi, cuz it is awesome. The gameplay is equally good, it flows back and forth like conquest should, and each round we ended up 4-3 or 3-4 so it was pretty balanced. The only thing that annoyed me is how you can jump up on top of the Middle Spikes in the center territory and camp on top of them, throwing down nades or plasma rifle fire to weaken the other team as they are entering into the middle territory. It didnt seem to unbalance the game, but it possibly could if it was a more pro team doing it... All in all though, this map is wonderful. Great job!
I don't quite know why i took a liking to this map, but something struck me as potential, but i started spitting out some ideas that ended up being great additions to the map. I guess when i saw it i thought, "This maps need some spikes......and ummm...... a fence wall thing." BOOM inspiration. Great map, fun gameplay, and of course.....great aesthetic touches. 5/5
Well thanks i work hard on this map to make it look great and play even better. also if you take it so something to it to make it your own, put your own spin on it. well it did turn out to be a fun map to play on. i hope everyone will download this map and play it to see how much fun it is
This is a very well made map and it works very well and im glad i was able to test it . I had fun on this map and yes anyone looking for a good game of conquest would be crazy not to download this . This is right at the top of sandbox conquest maps right allong with "Sacratic Method" and "Gold Rush" Good work hero im looking forward to your next map. :]
I had the pleasure of playing this yesterday, and I really enjoyed it, as I suspected I would. The geometry is inspiring, and the nice space for the central territory is something I prefer in a Conquest map. I do feel, however, that the spawn rooms should be reworked. This particular drop down isn't ideal for Conquest in my eyes, especially because you must spin around as you drop. Its confusing at first, and ultimately becomes mundane in later rounds. I'd love to see a more direct, traditional spawn room/system. I really think it'd pull this whole map together even more and firmly cement it as one of the top Conquest maps out there.
The drop down was something that i made to make this make this my map. its something people like or hate. i like it b.c it cuts down the walking time that it would take to with that not being there.
thats fair play, but Id still spin your spawn rooms 180 degrees around the drop down so you arent facing a wall/backwards when you go down
i would spin my room if i could the way i made it the lift down is against the wall on both sides so no matter what i do you spin. well that must be smexy
I played this last night and I have to say you've done a wonderful job on creating the overall feel of this map. The main problem I have with this is the center; specifically how one can just camp up on the small corners you have stacked up. It's a great piece of geometry, but people's first instinct is to hop up there to camp over the enemy doorway. I wouldn't suggest changing the structure at all, rather I would offer that you change the placement of the center territory so that if one does decide to set up shop on the corners, he won't be able to hold the territory as well. Overall a well built map, but the aforementioned issue kept this from achieving it's full potential.
Thanks and i am working on updating the map right now to fix that and a few other things. one problem with the center is that if i lower it then it too low so that you can't jump but i think i have an idea or two that might fix that. and Have a Good Time. Well I havent played any games on this map yet, but I did do a run through and it's very aesthetic.. The way that wall with the stone platforms popping out kind of looks as if it is moving when you walk past it is very creative. I like the idea, and aestheticlly I give it a 5.5. Great job, I also like the way opposing teams spawn up high, athough this might effect gameplay because one could camp there for the win, either way though very creative and clean.
well i hope you play on it. and the way i made the map it makes it hard to camp the spawn. once you play it you will find that its easy to keep it close
Amazing map Spectacular aesthetic. 5 of 5 from me for gameplay as well. When the exit of the spawn hive comes into play it can be frustrating, but this has only happened in games with uneven teams. Rave reviews from all my peeps. We've been playing it everyday. Will DL the upgrade. BTW we thought an added late spawning sticky nade in the spawn hive would help clear out hive campers.
