Ive got the method down well enough My question is, whats a good Filter/weapon combo to make the weapons become more white and the background darker, like; Tl;dr, how do i make pic one look like pic two. A clear answer would be nice like Fx, weapon, camera placement. that sorta thing.
well, i love iron maidon so i like the first. But the second is pen and ink. The weapons are just a random assortment of weapons. And the border is made of the blackout doors.
Yeah i guessed they would have been doors, thanks for the pen and ink thing, ive been trying a combo of like 3 filters and a flare, if its really that simple thats amazing. If u wanna DL that Iron maiden one, heres a link to it in my FS. Its not that one but rather a Red and Blue one, to fit the theme of Maiden. ::Edit:: I just tryed Pen and ink, with and without juicy on. And while, with juicy on the background looked similar the weapons did not stick out to be white, with and without a flare, Theres gotta be something im missing here, anyone? No a grenade effect would be easily recognizable. Here is what ive found, the nova Filter seems to be the one that is most important. Put nova on, and then a combination of that and other filters, juicy for more color, color blind for black and white. Then u have to position ur art in one of the colored "Clouds" in the sky, not the blurry part. It wont look right at first but when u take the screen shot the weapons should change color. Heres what ive made Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details Another thing id like to note is the finish on the weapons, it seems dull weapons like the SMG BR And sniper have a clear outline while shiny weapons become blurred and glow, like the Assault rifle, pistol and Carbine. as demonstrated by my screenshot. Just another something u might wanna think about when aranging your art.
okay i posted a thread in the forging part to try and have someone explain this whole comcept from beginning to end. if someone would be willing to do that for me, i would love you forever. please explain how to add the art itself...i think theyre weapons. but what do you use to make them all straight? like do you design everything on a flat surface then delete the surface? then where you do do the art? like what part of blackout...i know in the sky but where? like above BR tower? sniper tower? lift? then how do you get colors in the effects too? someone please explain in detail how to do this kind of stuff. thanks guys!
Okay theres a map buy Eamon floating around one of the threads named "Screenies" Download that, Ill try not to go into huge detail to avoid confusion. 1) Make your image with weapons on the floating platforms. Remember to make em backwards because ull be looking at em on the opposite side. 2)Once u have your art made, delete the boxes that they are resting on. 3) place Nova filter anywhere on the map, add others for slight coloration differences. 4) exit monitor mode so the item arrows disappear 5) exit the game. Remember to save before u delete the boxes or else u wont have a second shot at this. 6) Enter Theater mode and fast forward the the part where u placed the nova filter. 7) Once the item arrows disappear look up at your art. Position the art so that it is sitting in one of the "Colored clouds" they usually are an odd orange color. 8)I suggest using the zoom feature as the perspective scaling will enlarge the "Cloud area" while still being able to have a nice position on ur art, without it becoming blurry. 9)When u are ready to take the screen shot it will look funny and discolored and ur weapons will not be glowing, this is okay. Take ur screen shot and notice how it changes, then goes back to regular, that change is the real screen shot. 10) Lastly take MANY pictures, advance the frames slightly to move the "Stars" around so that they dont interfere with ur picture, also take many from slightly different angles. when ur all done go and delete the ones u dont like from your screen shots so u have room for more when u want to take more. This is one of mine that was rather rushed on the "art" part but u can notice the difference in effects from the 3 ive posted in this thread. First being in a flare with many filters on. second being in Nova and many filters on, and in the last one the only filters that were used was Nova juicy and gloomy. Im assuming that if u want colorations in the image, you just use the weapon effects at the point of where the picture is taken, Laser makes red, Drainer blue, regen green, and so on. I could be wrong with this since i havent tried it yet but im assuming this is correct, Furthermore if u want to see how the process is done from start to finish i spose u could add me, i need to retake the laughing man one anyways. Add; z Digitaldrug if u want, though i wont have a controller for a couple days
