This map is 4-way symetrical making it ideal for multi-team varients. The map consists of four rooms for the different teams, and two central rooms (two floors). This map works well, but even though I haven't gotten enough people to play a multi-team game on it (we had to 3v3), it plays awsome. Very simple layout, but the center battles are massive. For esthetics, I put "idols" of each colour in every corner. They're actually in action poses. I originally had them attacking the buildings, but that allowed people to grenade jump onto the rooftop using the idols, do I had to squash that idea. Anyways, this map isn't fully done yet, still lookin for suggestions and feedback, and if you want to help me test this map, I'm looking for seven people to have a full multiteam battle. This map is setup for EVERY gametype except infection. Works best with slayer and neutral flag/bomb and especially good with king of the hill and oddball. This map is designed for Multi-team varients, but works just as good with two team objective. Weapons on map: 2x SMG 1x Plasma rifle 1x Battle rifle Above found in all four bases 4x Battle rifle 4x Needler 2x Bruteshot 4x Spiker 2x Plasma pistol 1x Shotgun 1x Rocket Various Frag and Plasma 1x Energy drainer 1x Regenerator DOWNLOAD BAD IDOLS HERE: http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=76176763 The Microsoft paint overview (not much help though) OVERVIEW Outside of Yellow base Upstairs of Center room Downstairs of center room The Red "IDOL" The blue "IDOL" The Yellow "IDOL" ..... yes, he's been speared by the blue idol. The green "IDOL" got himself messed up by the red idol. I had to have the Green and Yellow idols be dead cause there isn't any lights their color. This way, it seems their life has faded away. Whatever.
Pretty original map. I like the Multi-team take to it. Enqueued for DL. Does it work well with FFA? (more specifically, 4p FFA) EDIT: By the way, your link is wrong. Don't link your fileshare, but rather the file itself. like so: http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=76050368
Yes, I could make a purple light, but there isn't a purple team on 4 team multi-team, so it kind-of defeats the point alittle bit. I haven't tested it on FFA. I doubt it though. FFA are usually more fun on asymetrical maps like guardian. At least thats what I think. Give it a try though, and let me know. Thanks.
Hey man this seems pretty cool and original from the pictures. I'll have to download this and check it out. So far 5/5 for me
Idols This map is right up my alley. I enjoy competitive maps with large aesthetic touches. The Idols, although a little cartoonish, are cool, and I like how the other two idols have been slain. The map as a whole looks somewhat basic, but it is very balanced. I can't understand if the top level of your map is meant to be played on. If it's not that might be something to consider to add another dimension of movement. You could add some ramps in the inner corners of your central structure.
The idols are probably my favorite part of the map. I love the little story you put together about them. Overall it looks nice and would make a great multi-team map.
Hey makisupa007, glad you liked the map. No, the roof of the building was not meant to be played on, and I went to an extra effort to stop people like me from exploiting it. Not that it would really give any team an extreme advantage, but it would piss people off getting spawn killed by a guy on the roof. That seems to be the problem with alot of my maps. They're very basic. This is very balanced and testing this friday night using the TESTING GUILD here on Forgehub.
This looks like it would be an excellent multi-team map. Love the idols and like it even more that each one is different, very creative there. Though basic, it seems like it is extremely well balanced. Plenty of weapons spread evenly throughout the map, maybe even too many, but variety never hurts. I like how you can see into the middle area from each base. It is also very neatly forged, I can tell you took your time. Overall I think its very good and look forward to helping out tomorrow.
