Sandbox Power towers

    POWER TOWERS



    HELLO!

    My maps called POWER TOWERS.basically there are two enormous sniper towers,each with 3 vertical sections on each of them.each section is small and cramped with a small ledge running all around to prevent people falling out.the map works best with games such as Team Snipers,Team BRs.and Team Rockets.the map wont work well with weapons that are not medium-long range.

    spawning on the map is set to attackers/defenders so FFA variants do not work,sorry.the map is best for sniping because the areas are small which does not leave room for strafing,so basically the case is
    KILL HIM BEFORE HE KILLS YOU .

    the gametype settings means respawn killing isnt a problem!

    when you respawn,you have 3 seconds of invulnerability so that you do not get respawn killed,but you cannot kill anyone in those 3 seconds

    and remember.bullets can come from any of the sections of the enemy teams tower!

    i beleve this is a preety good idea, but it looks like its realy boring after 5 minutes. its probably alot of spawn killing too. 2/5 until further notice.

    nine different respawn points in each section to reduce spawn killing.and of course teammates can help out if problem continues.how would you recommend i fix it?

    i cant think of a way to improve this, this idea isnt realy thought over, sorry.

    respawn killing was a big issue i adressed,but i couldnt find a way to fix it.after testing the map i realised it wasnt that big of a deal anyway as when you respawn you are directly facing the enemy and you may respawn in 9 different places so the enemy cannot simply hold his crosshair over the place your head spawns.

    you could try making an enclosed area for each team with man cannons tht push them into a teleporter which randomly put them into a different part of th tower each time.

    Although I like the idea of towers, they are too bare. Spawn killing would be easy. I'd suggest making each floor of the tower have more than one window. Preferably, 3 windows each and some ramps so you're not stuck on the same floor the entire time.

    the map was originally designed to have 4 towers in a square shape but i ran out of the necessary objects.i understand what you mean about the ramps caretaker,but the picture you put in i do not.can you explain?

    this idea is really cool, idk bout spawn killing i haven't played it but i would suggest for a version 2 you add ramps to each new level that way the player can move to and fro and have more areas to snipe from. It would reduce spawn killing if that is an issue and heighten game play.

    It sounds like a good idea, but I agree that spawn killing could make it bad. If you made more towers, that could reduce the spawn killing, but it might not work. Once again, I like the concept, but it turned out not working.

    ok.ill take the advice of the people and make ramps for each level.v2 coming soon.DL and try this one out first tho and see what you think

    when i first planned the map there were supposed to be 4 towers but i ran out of the item *wall, half* which makes it hard to do.as you can see the top level of the red tower is made using *wall,quarter* and that didnt turn out very well

    yea 9 different respawns, 3x3 so that means theres 3 points of respwawn, still easy to spawn kill, and you cant improve the map because its not really a map, its a tiny are with a window, again would get boring after about 2 minutes, thats being generous.

    Ah I see. I think that columns (red, blue) could work, but you would run out of them fast. Maybe you can make just a two level tower in the air with those.

    You should have the gametype so that once you spawn you are invulnerable for like 2 seconds, also have it so you can't kill anyone while you are invulnerable. That would eliminate the spawn killing, or at least give someone time to duck.

    That's actually a pretty good idea. I wish it could be one second, but this works as well. I still think there should be more towers though.

    This looks like a great idea, and the towers look very nice. Can the bottom guy shoot the top guy on the other tower?

    That would be my suggestion. I throw that setting in my respawn settings as standard. Invulnerability + immunity to headshots on spawn for 2-3 seconds. Many people forget about the respawn settings.

    yes the bottom guy can shoot the top guy from the other tower.but the top section of the red tower is made differently to the others because i ran out of an object.but you can still see the top and middle of the blue tower,but the bottom blue can snipe top red.
