They also stated that Cottonball wasn't Sidewinder, but Avalanche (Cottonball) is. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Thats for that wakko, avalanche also looks kinda reminiscent of contianment with the architecture. I cant wait for the new maps to come out, altho personelly I think that bungie should have remade as many maps as was ethical for release. That would have ended many critisisms by for example CoD4 players bitching about how few maps there are.Also alot of those maps are tried,tested and ready to go if theyd only put shiny halo 3 graphics on em. I just don't know why Lockout is being remade. I mean, thats cool and all, but Guardian is so similar its going to get repetetive. I just dont get why Bungie would make 2 maps that similar.
Guardian is NOT the same by a long shot. Lockout's around 4 times bigger and doesnt have thoe stupid blue grav lifts. Its got the whole underside and a tower bit... Guardian has fusion cores(or whatever tho's blue things are) The only real similarity is the color and the fact that hey have a central platform
To answer all questions, the magazine was to be released in April, and the misspelling of Playstation was an april fools joke in the process (the reason the company is mad it was leaked and they risk their relationship with Bungie). If you remember correctly, these are the same people that leaked Halo 3 multiplayer in August when they got to play Last Resort in Bungie (check youtube for it). The magazine is legit, but we can't be for certain whether it is Lockout. It seems likely, but who knows.
Don't get me wrong: I loved Lockout, but regardless of whether or not it's going to be Lockout, why does everyone want H2 maps anyway? They are never going to be as good as we remember them from H2, and we can still play them on H2 right now. I'm really excited for Avalanche, as you couldn't play the original online.
Well, the fact of the matter is H1 and H2 had the maps, and H3 has everything else. I don't know how you can't get excited for a Sidewinder with current graphics, current gameplay, and the current weapon set. And, quite frankly, no one wants to go play an old game when you have the latest one. Maybe every once in a while I will go back to H2 to do glitches on all the old maps, or play a round of team snipers for kicks. But, in the end, people get excited because these maps are proven to be fun. I would much rather have an old favorite with a few changes in geometry that I know will run well rather than run the risk of having Bungie F up another map pack (face it Heroic sucked outside of Foundry, which wasn't really a map). Also, Lockout and Midship (assuming Lockout is Moonlight and Purple Reign is Midship) have been proven competitive maps, and I know Bungie has to target and accommodate the large MLG community by giving them their share of maps. For example, Snowbound and Epitaph are failed attempts at small, mostly symmetrical, arena maps (MLG style) because of a couple of reasons. It kind of goes with the old sayin': Why fix something that isn't broken? With that said, I would also like to see new maps outside of Sidewinder, Lockout, Midship, and maybe a few more (maybe 2 new maps and 1 old map per map pack from here on out).
Thanks. I know I posted this before, but I will say it again anyway. I don't want remakes. Wouldn't you guys rather have a completely new map than one that we have played a ton of times before. I am really excited for Avalanche though. It won't be the same as Sidewinder, but it is based off it. There will be new experiences when we play it, instead of all the experiences we have had before when we played the original.
There. That kind of disproves you guys getting another lockout copy. Guardian is Lockout. It just has trees and birds in the background. I hope it is a halo 1 map, the one where you have to warp to the other side. I forgot its name, but that was FUN.
Quit ****ing saying that about guardian, the layout is completely different. I still say its lockout, even if some of the evidence is forged. The clues in the updates nearly confirm it. And yes I absolutely want the best halo map ever to be remade considering we only have one remade map currently Last Resort which is awesome.
Once they get this map pack out, they need to remake Santuary. But before that, they need a small, new, urban map. That would be fun.
I want a Lockout, Midship, Sidewinder(already have it), and Ascension remake. After that, they should get working to new maps. I wouldn't mind Sanctuary either. I like the urban map idea whether that be a Headlong/Turf remake or a new one.
