Control. Control is a small to medium size semi-symectric map set in the sky bubble on sandbox, after about 10 hours of forging im finally done with my new map control. when i got sandbox i thought of a few ideas but none were forgehub worthy, until i came up with the idea of a covenant plasma reactor. This looks like a pretty solid map. I think that some more interlocking could be used. Especially on the stairs. I think this would work well with slayer. 4/5
well i have to say i like the layout that you've come up with. the map looks well built (although i cant see any interlocking) but thats no big deal. some of the best maps are made without interlocking =]. i also like the idea of having to crouch to get the beam rifle, this makes it a risky move, which in turn could really pay off. from your list it seems that u have balanced out the weapons and equipment perfectly, and nothing seems too over-powering. Could u please post the respawn times and ammount of spare clips for each weapon/piece of equipment so we can try and get an idea for gameplay. for example, if u have a rocket with 2 spare clips and a respawn of 90 seconds, it will dominate the map, and ruin gameplay. so if u could post that i could try offer some advice on the spawns etc as i had a similar issue with my first map. good job 4/5
Wow. Let me (before I go upon grading your map) just say that when I was reading Ghosts of Onyx, a halo book, I pictured a covenant plasma reactor, and aesthetically, you pretty much nailed it. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but Interlocking could be used in some areas. I just love the aesthetics and flow of this map! 5/5 in my book.
By the way, I agree with Milk Assasin, it is a very clever move. I might use that in my future maps! =)
I really like the look of this map and the way it has lots of elevation. The cover and weapon placement also seems good. The only thing i would recommend is to add a few more bumpers to stop players from falling off too easily. I'll download it and take a look around, 4/5! Where's the download link?
thanks for the critisims much appriciated, ive interlock a few walls and floors but i shall definatly do a v2 with more interlocking, the beam rifle idea just came to me, id never seen it before. thanks
