A new map WIP (no name yet)

    Hey guys, so I've started work on a new map today. So far I'm pretty happy with the way it's turning out, but I wanted to see what the community thought so far. So short of releasing a beta for the map (the first release will essentially be a beta, or a V1) I figured I'd upload a couple screenshots. The layout so far is very basic, and only the first floor is completed. This is going to be an open layout map (eg., not hallways, etc.) and is based in the crypt of Sandbox. There is interlocking but obviously, being the crypt, no geomerging. As far as I know that doesn't work thus far. Please remember when looking here that this is a work in progress, helpful suggestions may result in modifications of the map, as I'd like to get the first floor completed short of weapon layouts before i start on the second floor.

    All feedback is greatly appreciated, and as for a name, still working on it.

    Anyway, here's the shots!

    A quick overview from infront of the stairway (which is incomplete) This however gives you a good idea of how it will turn out (There will be a full quarter circle when completed).

    A look at the camo-weapon combo structure, the front there will house Active Camo or Overshields (not sure yet) and the back corridor (which goes all the way through both sides) will house two dual weildable weapons (this is chosen because of the way the iterior worked out) likely SMGs.

    A sideview of the main stairway, with view of two tunnel peices... these will likely house grenades or similar.

    A view from tower to stairs. The structure by stairs is formed of interlocked Tall Blocks, this may be moved as it crowds too close to stairs and leaves too much open space by camera.

    A view of the entire map including tower. The tower is constructed purely of Large Ramps interlocked together, then a blue light in the right and a red light in the left (from camera perspective). You can see the partially completed second layer of wall. The walls on each layer are interlocked with each other, but the layers themselves are not interlocked with each other. This is purely for height purposes.

    Can't wait to play this.

    It does seem kinda small though, maybe it cause I haven't gotten to actually look around the map.

    Generally pretty small, but will be a two floor map.

    I like small maps.
    Because I mainly play Halo with 4 players (classic split-screen, online play can't beat that, really.)

    I'd love to see this finished.

    Thanks for the feedback guys. I have a question generally though, I was hoping to maybe make it times so that players could not reach the top level until a few minutes into the game. But this won't work if their are spawn points up there, will it? Does anyone know how this could be possible?

    Update: I finished the staircase only to realize it comes too close to the wall (eg players going up the stairs would literally have to balance to keep from falling back down) So I have to reposition it. This is gonna add a lot of extra time to the maps build process.

    Any and all help/suggestions are welcome.
