Play testers needed for this map! Also, I am not so wise in the placement and use of spawn points and areas, I know the absolute basics, but any critic/feedback is recommended to better my knowledge for future maps. Thank you, and have a nice day! * Currently there is a problem during capture the flag, where a flag will not appear and players may start in the sky bubble and fall to their death, if anyone can find the problem to this issue, please alert me of it! I appreciate it!
I like the urban feel to the map but it's very small, so small that the mongoose wouldn't be much of help except for circling the entire map doing pickups and dropoffs. I would expand the center alley/street area to double the length and have each "base" at opposite ends. I like the style, but would be much cooler if it was expanded.
It looks nice just seperate the bases and add some cover in between. As for the bug, I have no idea how that happens... Anyway keep up the great forging!
For some reason this map reminds me of Turf from Halo 2. The bases fit the profile for a bomb game and the interlocking isn't to bad. Keep on forging. 4.5/5
Thanks for the feedback from everyone! I would love to expand the map, in fact I was planing to, but I got a forge bug that was messing me up, after I hit my money budget I placed some of the original objects into the construction, and for some reason those objects would not stay despawned for merging and would occasionally revert to where they last were located and then come back after the game ends. If anyone has a fix to this glitch, I would appreciate it! Mongoose wise, I guess that's all I had in mind for them, as a pickup-dropoff type of play.
It's a glitch because the map's items' maximum runtime is higher than the number of that item placed on the map. If you don't fix it, those items move all the time, but when they do, DON'T TOUCH THEM. Save and quit and restart the game and they will be where you put them. As long as you didn't touch them after they "jumped" back to their original position on you. To fix and get lots of extra money, go through your items list in each category and hit the "X" button twice on every item and set the runtime max to the number placed on the map.
I agree the bases are too close. It does look good so hopefully you can fix the bug and expand it sometime.
Alright, so expansion sounds pretty good of an idea. If I could get a list of all the good parts of the map, that would be helpful. When you guys say expansion, how exactly so? Do you mean move the bases farther apart street wise? Like to double that street width, or to move the bases farther down so that the entrances are farther away from each other, still keeping that alley feel? Any feedback much appreciated!
its hard to judge this map without an overview of the whole thing also some of your structures aren't lined up perfectly but thats no big deal
yeah i agree that your bases are too close it looks like you could jump from one to the other either you could separate the bases or add a wall or some sort of cover in between or both
