I don't make aestethic maps, I'm not built - ok born - for that. But I had this awesome idea in mind, it should be achievable (with fair ease) on Sandbox. I want to see two giant robots fighting. Well, not moving, of course, just two robots positioned as if they were fighting. Like Japanese Anime robots, but then made of stone and rocks and those gold, rune inscripted parts (that you could put to awesome aesthetic extra-touch effects in this idea). If I had prizes to give away, I'd make this a contest. The rules would be: -Two Robots, preferrably in combat -Positions are up to you to decide -If not in combat, then in pre-combat status (fighting positions) or post-combat status (one robot, likely with damage, standing. Other one in wrecks - should still be recognisable as a robot, but then without fighting possibilities left). -Robots can resemble: Humans (Arms, Legs, Head, ...) Animals/Insects (Legs x4-6, Head, possibly Tail, ...), or a fantasy figure to your liking - which are usually based on the previous. -Optimalization for competitive/casual/mini games is optional, but preferred. It will get your map more likely to win, and make it a helluva lot more interesting. -Possibility to enter the robots, and have their interiours all mechanical-like would be awesome, and it'd make your map a helluva lot more interesting. Well.. Yeah. But I don't have anything to give away. If you still feel like entering the 'contest', and put your mind to making a robot-combat map, that if done nicely should be able to beat Eight Emerald Legs with ease (seeing the tools and objects Sandbox offers), feel free to. The rules are possibly subject to later change. Let me hear what you think. Questions, ask ahead, but you don't have to follow those rules to steal my idea. Don't worry.
hmm you played farcry didn't you. lol there was that one epic map with a spider robot fighting a humanoid mech with a gun, it was awesome you could zipline from the top of them to the other one and then to the ground and push vehicles onto other people on the ground.
No, I haven't I intended on buying it, not long ago, but figured I could better spend my money on L4D, which has a more fantasy touch to it as far as I can see, and is more my genre.
