Apple doesn't lower their prices unless the "new" thing has come out

i bought my own 2nd gen ipod touch 16gb a few months ago... it was $300 then and it still is, FBU is right, and best buy is currently having a sale, $5 off!! woot!

by the way, this 13 year old kid from conneticut just won $10000 itunes gift card (no typo), an ipod touch, a macbook pro, and a time capsule just for downloading the billionth app. it was a real kick in the balls for me...

PS, is it even possible to spend all $10000? ive only spent around $400 in digital stuff for my ipod....

Says the windows jerk off fan boy.

But, no. Probably not. They're lowered it so much, and the programs cost money. And jalibreaking is time consuming. Just get a classic and be gone with you.

jailbreaking, is kind of a lost cause now. 1st gen doesnt have an external speaker or external volume control, it has slower web loading, longer sync, and a worse battery than the 2nd gen, among other things too.

the 2nd gen really beats the 1st, but the 2nd gen cant be jailbroken. in my opinion, it doesnt matter, because all the perks of the 2nd gen kind of make a jailbroken 1st gen not worth it

As far as I understand the situation from Hackint0sh.org, you can actually jailbreak 2G iPod Touches, it's just harder than it was with 1G models and requires a different method/hack.

I'm on a jailbroken 2G. It's not hard at all, and still a great option.

[Win] QuickFreedom - 2.2.1 Jailbreaking GUI (Tool) - iPod touch Fans forum

NOTE*: If you have windows vista, please message me as well, as libusb can disable your USB ports if not used correctly on vista. Obviously, it can be fixed by just booting into safe mode or last known good config., but it's a scary moment at first :D

That's pretty much all you need for jailbreaking itself. Any other questions on ROMs, Installous (free apps...shhhhhh), theming, and tweaks, just message me.

My current theme, but slightly modified but I'm too lazy to upload it:
