This is my first map it is a small slayer type map and i was looking for some ways to improve it Weapons: 4 BRs 2 Shotguns 2 Needlers 2 Snipers ( I am considering removing) 2 Bruteshots The spawns are a little tight right now and it makes it a little easy for camping but im working on that PS. The map is called Egyptian Sky sorry i didnt put it in the title
For a first Forging, it isn't bad. It looks pretty neat from your pics, and the overall layout is tried and true, so it's good you didn't get too ambitious. For constructive feedback, I recommend building up off the grid in the future. It makes the whole process a bit harder, but I personally like the feeling of falling a few seconds before dying, if I fall off a map. Specific to this map, though, I'd consider moving the lights back a bit. Where they are might be annoying to players, as a see a lot of exchanges from the far sides over the middle, and from that vantage point, the lights will be bright. More directly to game play, though, it seems the map really drives players to one central point without many other options. I think it's vital you give players multiple paths to travel when navigating your map. In this case, have you considered adding a more vertical element? What about a bridge that goes over the center, so you have a high road and a low road kind of thing? You may need to mix it up with lifts and/or mancannons, however.
Now you've updated your post and added piccy's i can give you feedback ... From what the pictures show the map looks pretty neat especially for a 1st time ... but like said before, you need to add more levels/routes whatever just to make the gameplay that little bit better and to add a few more lines of fire.
Dude, your post is definately not up to Forge Hub standards. You need to read the Map Posting Standards in order to know how to properly post maps. Anyone who complains about the map not being up to standards after this will be reported. Oh, welcome to Forge Hub.
looks like a good close quarters map, the only thing I see wrong is it looks like whoever has the high ground on either side is at a great advantage against players in the middle
to be honest, this looks more like a paintball map than a map for halo. it's really 1 dimensional. the design reminds me of a simpler narrows, and that isn't a good thing. the reason narrows works as a map is because the upper and lower sections of the bridge help create depth in the gameplay. they add routes for flanking and outmaneuvering your opponents. your map does not. either turn it into a paintball minigame map, or overhaul the entire thing, keeping in mind that all good maps have elevation changes. it's a hell of a lot harder to build maps with multiple floors, but a single storied map is incredibly dull.
thanks for the feedback guys ill probably make a v.2 or make a completely new map i just need to work more on interlocking i think
I would deffinitely recommend interlocking of the walls on the floor so the map is easier on the eyes. It would make it look much smoother. It takes a while, but it's worth it.
