    DOWNLOAD: Access

Access is an ideal 4 versus 4 square-off that is best suited for Team Slayer BR's, Multi-CTF, Multi-Bomb, and Neutral Bomb. Team Slayer is also workable, as there are four Battle Rifles per team on each base side. I've went into Sandbox-Forge thinking of making a re-imaginative version of Beaver Creek, but with no limitations of outside containment. The bases are alike, but different, to the bases from Beaver. Two open slots in the ceiling and two doorways gives multiple pathways for players entering with an intention of arming the bomb, capturing the flag, or even scoring the flag. With the grav-lift in each base, more importantly, a flag or bomb carrier may deploy it for a quick escape or a quick invasion on the opposing team.

    Here's some screenshots:

    Couple of points....

I wonder if there is a sniper rifle on the map? If there is, what's to stop a player from going to the edge of the sand dunes BEHIND the opposing teams base and camping it with a sniper?

Seeing as in most games, you would spawn with an AR, that would not be fun.

However, I like the simplistic design, and overall the map itself seems fairly faithful to beaver creek. I would suggest however, that you take into account that the play area in general is much larger than what Beaver Creek was, and either a) update the map to include play areas that incorporate that idealogy, or b) perhaps remake Beaver Creek in the Crypt instead?

    Just some food for thought.

The map looks quite open, also, is their only BRs on the map? Because I know that lots of people love the BR, but it might spoil gameplay, if one team has someone, or some people with a good shot, and the other team have terrible people who can't four shot, if their is no other weapon on the map the the 'bad' team can use to counter the four shots, then it is completely unfair, even MLG has weapons other than BRs. So I'd suggest adding more weapons. Unless there are, but I don't know because I haven't had the chance to download and play it yet.

i quite like the overall layout of the map and the design is good, but for some reason (not sure why) i dont like the bases being so square, i think if they were less block like or a different shape then it would look better, but thats just my opinion. i also think that adding a couple of mongooses (1 on each side) would be a good move, especially for CTF and BOMB gametypes. 3/5

    Thanks for the points.

    - There is a Sniper on the map. Yes, it is in the perch. There's also FOUR Battle Rifle spawns (20 sec. rates) on each team side. Three are inside and one is outside near a cover block. I prefer this map BR-styled, since as mentioned, it's open and not an arena. Team Slayer BRs would work best for Slayer oriented games.

    - Sorry, my map weapon placements are:

    Battle Rifles (8)
    SMG (4)
    Plasma Rifle (2)
    Needler (2)
    Assault Rifle (2)
    Shotgun (1)
    Rocket Launcher (1)
    Sniper Rifle (1)

    Plasma Grenades (4)
    Fragment Grenades (4)

    - My limit is not over. I also have lot of money to spare. I could add a Mongoose for transport. However, I want to test things first. The quick evasion of grav-lift deploys may make Mongoose not even needed. If so, I can make changes.

    Thanks again!

I looked through it and it's pretty nice, but I feel that even with greater ability to enter and exit via the roof, it doesn't quite make up for not having the tunnels. And considering that not a whole lot of budget was spent on this, it probably would've been possible to put a double block floor under everything (assuming it was all moved it to the crypt) and kept the tunnels. Still a well forged and very playable map, though.

Thanks. As I said, I wanted something similar, but not the same, as Beaver Creek.

I actually hit the hard-count limit (or whatever it's called). Well, technically I have one slot left, but I can fiddle with the frag grenade spawns on the top roof to perhaps add something for cover or something else suggested.

I have played and seen Beaver Creek maps in the Crypt. With the hard-limit and budget on the line, it's hard to make a realistic type. More often it's going to be either crammed with jumps that should not be made or something left open some place.

Did you delete the default Sandbox objects? That would account for hitting it...

Either way, I don't really care about being able to venture into the dunes, and it's still a pretty fun map even without the tunnels.

Well, after I had built one base, I deleted most of the objects. In hindsight, I probably should have kept everything there. But I'm picky so I wanted things gone. Still, though, it didn't hinder me from making things how I had planned (for the most part).
