I dont really know what to put in the description for a race track...

hmm, well this is my first race track, it works with 6 people, or 6 teams of 2 (only 6 mongooses...mongeese?) it works with VIP and slayer...i may make a V2 if you people complain about this one enough...and yes, i know it is difficult, but even I can make it...well, i guess i'll move onto the pics...

Well, this looks okay, but I see many problems with the map. For one thing, it looks way too difficult. Yes, I know you said that it was supposed to be difficult, but this looks like you would just fall off too often. Also, I do not see a cheat-proof finish line. Here's a picture to show you what I mean

As you can see, the teleporters prevent anyone from getting off their mongoose and walking back and forth, and the grav lifts suspended by weapon holder prevent anyone in a mongoose from going back through.

P.S. Sorry if anyone construes this as advertising for my map, but that was the only picture I had

well, in a VIP variant i thought that sequence order would've prevented that :( i'll try to make it better

How dare you advertise your map like this?! REPORTED!!!

    lol, jk

Um, as AItius said, it looks way too difficult to function as a good race track. For one, your banked curves are way too bumpy, and the speed-bump-rhythm-about-to-fall-through-the-world section looks entirely impossible. By my understanding of racetracks, the goal is to make it difficult to fall off unintentionally.

For a first try, I must say that it doesn't look too bad--certainly better than my first endeavor at a race map.

thanks...i guess, for the most part, i think i will try to make a new racetrack, but i will definatly try to keep all these things in mind...

Even though this racetrack appears to have flaws and you obviously just built the entire thing on the skybubble grid, thanks at least for posting by the map rules, embedding pictures and giving a description. Well done on that, but you might want to look at some other race tracks to get an idea of what people expect here.

Race tracks aren't supposed to be thin and narrow. They're supposed to be thick, and easy to drive on. At least a Double Box wide. Never build a racetrack should go through those thin, Sandbox tubes! No offense intended; but this, and and many others, are what I call "noob race-tracks". This is more of a frustrating mongoose obstacle course than anything else.
I mean, that whole "final stretch" part looks really easily made, but really hard to cross. I've never had any experience building racetracks myself. That being said, I'm more of a mini-game guy. My close friend, "egodude", a famous Bungie Favorite racetrack maker, knows much of racetracks and I learn from him. Back to the map, take your time to forge a racetrack, next time! 2/5.

well actually if you played on the map, it is extremely easy to cross, strange how everyone just ASSUMES that it is hard, when in actuality its easy, the only hard part of the entire map is path B, and that was made difficult on purpose

The map looks like you had a good idea, but I dont think this is an actual racetrack. For one, it has two different lanes, which competitive racetracks shouldnt have. Also, the paths do not seem very wide which would make it very hard to pass people in a race.

"interlocking is not needed for a good map"
That quote is overrated and is complete bullshit. Interlocking turns out to be much smoother (depending on your skill level) and adds a much better flow to the map without players getting stuck in cracks or flying off the map due to bumps. If you don't interlock in racetracks, honestly its usually **** I have never seen a quality racetrack without interlocking.
    Now, to the map.

Well, like mentioned earlier it looks terribly hard and drastically rushed. The objects are uneven on the sides and I noticed multiple bumps which could have been smoothened out alot. The entire thing is single wide which does not allow competition and if you were to play VIP on this, within seconds players would be knocked off pro racer or not. Sure, there are "cool jumps" which are so amazing in racetracks and make it so much more fun then banked turns! (sarcasm) but they don't look like they were checked over to ensure they work 100% of the time. I recomend grav lifts before the jump and not a simple man cannons in the middle which can be hit at multiple ways and can throw a racer way off track. Try not to place the starting point where it will interfere with the racetrack such as the last jump, which Im sure players will be landing on the mongooses and such. Supposing it is your first racetrack, I will give you a break and go easy on you but I strongly recomend you review the comment and do as I sudgested. Some bordering could have done, but I suppose thats nearly impossible with a single wide racetrack.

Overall, this map needs work and deserves a 1.5/5 rating, I realise thats low but considering all of the constructive criticism I listed, it does even up to a 1/5 rating. Again, make sure you take your time, thats the key to making a great racetrack. Hope to see from you again, with some improvements :)

it looks...ruff and knowing how easily mongooses can spin out of control staying on the track might be a big problem
