    Sky Fightin'
Just my attempt at an idea i had using Sandbox's Sky Bubble to stage air-to air combat.

Scorpion turret on the ground can be used as Anti-air Artillery, accessed by the teleporters in the centre.

This map is a large-scale map suitable for 6v6 combat. The central focus of this map is on air-to-air combat between the Hornets and Banshees, while the Transport Hornet serves to ferry combatants around the battlefield.

The floating Kill Balls are there to add some maneuvers and tactics to air combat, also being a means to shield yourself from Missile Pods and Scorpion shells.

The central Scorpion can be used as a neutral turret, giving a huge advantage to the team that holds it. Whilst at the edges of the Sky Bubble, two floating platforms house Spartan Lasers to give a large tactical advantage to the team that controls the two points. Two Sniper Rifles are at each base, in case someone gets a bit carried away using the turret or the lasers.

There are also two Warthogs stationed at the front of each base (a Gauss Warthog and an ordinary one per base) to be used as turrets, and the two teleporters around the central platform send players straight down to ground-level, where a Scorpion anti-air turret awaits those who can access it.

This is my first map post on FH, so try not to be too vicious when reviewing it. Some of the edges are shoddy and the merging isn't exactly clever, but the gameplay should be pretty smooth.
Suitable for Assault, CTF, Team Slayer and Territories.

    Peace, and happy gaming!

Haha, this could be one of those maps, in which you get a good hour of insane fun lol. This has been done before, you just added your own twist to it. There isn't really anything that is different to it. I like how the killballs are in the air though. I would love to be playing this and battle someone and all of a sudden they run into one of those lol. Nice job

I don't really like the map its just to small for 6v6 but it has great gametypes.

I actually made an air arena all ready but i love to see other peoples takes on it. I think the idea of having mounted guns is great. I did extensive play testing with freinds and i do see a really big problem. There is absolutly no cover in the air with out this a hornet just has to sit in one spot and can rail any one in a banshee. I would sugest adding some structures towards the middle and sides of the map. It makes a huge difference because without it the banshees are doomed to be shot down by the hornets.

yea, there really isnt anything new here on this map, its definately not one of the first ones like it, but i like the idea of putting the tank on the ground, which makes it a little harder to shoot the banshees and hornets flying high above

what are the respwn times for the hornets and banshees?
it would really suck if you got stuck in one of the bases without a vehicle
why dont you make a small pathway going in between the bases?

I like how you've tried to bring in some originality with the ground based scorpion turrets, and this definately looks like a map where, with enough people, you could have some great fun.

The only real criticism I can make, is that perhaps raising the bases off the grid in the skybubble would be beneficial, as players would have the ability to fly underneath and around their bases. You could use teleporter edges or killballs to mark the death barrier.

Anyway, good job overall, and I like the scorpion twist. Out of all the aerial maps that I've seen, this is the one I'm downloading.
