This map i made for infection (zombies should be 1-2 headshots with BR to make it fun). in this map the Humans start in the middle with zombies coming from one direction to start, but after that they spawn coming from 3 different directions to keep the humans on their toe's and guessing. i have placed and gravity hammer, spartan lazer, and rocket launcher at the zombie cover check points so as to create a risk and reward type of thing for the humans. The humans do have a fall back position but you can only get to it 180 seconds into the game, and yes this does have 1 machine gun turret BUT it is facing a wall so that you have to tear it off and only have limited ammo. this turret only spawns every 90 seconds so use it wisely. There is also a hidden sniper rifle but i'll leave finding that to u guys (clue: it's right under ur nose). As you can see in the upcoming screenshots, the Blue lights signify human rally points and there are 2 of the 3 zombie spawns highlighted with red lights. i added the FX Juicy, FX Old Timey, And FX Gloomy to give it an apocaliptic/dawn of the dead feel. Gross. Pictures in forge. Please please try to take pictures in custom games and then in theater? It looks a lot nicer. The map doesn't look to bad, but maybe make a version 2 thats cleaner. But hey, at least you HAVE pictures right off the bat, thats more then we can say for most people.
yeah, i learned to have pics from my first post, i said i was adding screen shots and not to get pplz panties in a bunch but they tied their panties in a knot and screemed at meh, and i'll test out the map with some friends in a while and take screenies.
Interesting layout, but this looks like a camp and snipe zombies all day because they can only go one way type of map. Avoid making infection maps where zombies can only come from one direction.
Well this is actually a really cool idea (I'm sure other people have done it, but I've never seen it, so I like it =D). So I'm guessing the humans will start with br's, though you may want to give the zombies full shields, depending on how many humans there are to begin with. From here you could probably change the human fallback position. If enough humans survive, and they all go to the fallback position, it is easy to camp and simply rack up the zombie kills. So you could probably make fusion coils fall every 45-60 seconds to prevent camping, or you could put a teleportor from the zombie spawns to some path connected to the fallback position. The last thing would be maybe poor camo for the zombies (Or no sensors for the humans), just to add to the thrill and suspense of the game =) Of course, the game isn't as bad as I make it seem with all these things, it looks like a REALLY fun game and something worth playing. Yeah, those kind of Infection maps are really annoying. Most of the time, that seems to be what most Infection maps are like (well, that I've seen). Other than that, it seems like you put some time into the creation of this map, so I give it a 3/5.
i'm adding teleporters from the zombie spawn to the fall back base to prevent camping. Edit: the link might be down. it's because i changed the map in my share to the updated version and am taking screenshots and such, final edition obviously coming within the hour.
i just updated the link to the final version, i decided to make it slightly more ascetic and i blocked off the zombie spawn to prevent camping in those areas.
