Looking to build a huge ramp on sandbox for a map. When I tried it didn't go to well. Trying to make it as smooth and with as few bumps as possible So I'm looking for some suggestions on how to build a huge ramp ~ best example I can give you for the type of ramp is, in halo 2 on the map terminal. Outside the map there was a huge slope. Want to make it about that size.
I don't even remember what that looks like but it should be easy. if you don't want it to be very steep use large ramps, with boxes behind them. here's an example. ../ ./[] /[] (ignore the periods) If that makes sense. if youw want it to be steeper use large wedges.
Well the best way to do it I think to use Large Ramps and keep stacking them to the preferred height then put walls on top of the to make a smooth surface. And I don't know you want to make one or just want one to play around on, here's one I found a couple days ago. Record Ramp
Not as wide as I wanted, but the map you linked is proving to be very useful. Thanks for the advice too
valley of fear in my sig has a big jump. The flaws in the 'record ramp' above are that the slope to the jump it pointless, the ramp is so sharp, theres no landing, and its too low, other than that, that map is what you want to base your jump off of.
As you make the ramp, place each object slightly lower than the other, never above or even the same. But not too low, or you'll just go flying. That was what was wrong with the record ramp, too many bumps.
This was already done on "record ramp", I'm sure you could use that if you wanted to ( they said it was ok to adapt things to the map)
I'm not using the ramp to ride/jump down. I'm using it as part of the map that I'm making hard to explain what it's purpose is
