So this is my first time posting anything on here, and I'm not quite used to everything. Anyway, this map is obviously based off of the movie The Hills Have Eyes. It was made by my friend (Huntedarkly) and myself (Plasma Blades). Both the zombies and humans have only one life. Most of the zombie spawn point are inside the center building, which lies above the crypt. The entrance to the crypt is under a "table" and is supposed to resemble the mines in the movie. The basic premise of this is that the humans need to get these "medpacks"(custom power-up) since their shields do not recharge, while the zombies try to kill them. This is an overveiw of the part of the map that is above the crypt. The human spawn, equipped with a sniper rifle and incidiery grenades. The front of the boarded up building, this is where most of the zombies spawn. One of the three medpacks found in the crypt. These are two buildings next to the center building, the one on the left was our attempt at making a barn (Without a roof since we were trying to make it under the item limit). To the right is the shed, where there is a warthog, 7-wood, and trip mine. Any constructive criticism is appreciated, seeing as this will need a lot of it =). Yay an infection map on sandbox! I like the layout and how you use both the main floor and the crypt. I've made an infection map, and for Breakable asthetic doors I've used pallets great map 4/5
Looks like you did a great job of merging the structures. Maybe it's just me, but I see all these new maps on Sandbox and very few are using it's full potential with a clean OLN map. While the forging looks good, this map fails to "wow" me. You may want to provide the details of your game type in your original post.
We were thinking of making a version two where all the other buildings except the center one would be deleted, the crypt would be built up, the center building would be larger, and hopefully the game would flow better. However, were not sure if it's quite worth it if the game isn't good anyway..?
Don't base maps on movies, they don't play good, and are unappealing to those who have not seen the movie.
Yeah, though it doesn't matter too much though - the only resemblance it has to the movies is the military base and the mines in the crypt.
