Sandbox MLG Funtimes HE v2

    After 18 hours of forging on Sandbox I finished my first map, fy_funtimes Halo Edition. For those unfimilar with the map its a remake of a Counterstrike map.

    Feel free to comment, critique and leave feedback as it is my first map and I don't expect it to be perfect.

    Gametypes supported: as of 3/14/09
    -Slayer
    -CTF

    Weapons on the Map:
    2 Snipers : Drop 120 sec
    1 Rocket : Drop 150 sec
    1 Mauler : 90 sec
    4 BR : 60 sec
    2 Carbine : 90 sec
    2 Maulers: 120 sec
    16 Frags
    4 Plasmas

    -added blocks in corners near Camo for jumping on walls.
    -fixed red and blue pillars in center mazes
    -got rid of weapon holder holding rockets (looked stupid)
    -added 4 more Plasmas
    -edited map description

    looks very mlg like.

    i like how you included the pic of what you were basing it off of.
    seeing that im not a big fan of mlg i cant say i like it too much gameplay wise but it looks really good. it also kinda seems to me like one map i played while in mythic match making called the tundra....

    I like how you made this map and it looks pretty smooth. However, between the middle and the walls there seems to be too much open space. Maybe adding a couple of structures or just some more cover may liven it up a bit...

    ill take it into consideration and think of something, I just didn't want to flood the middle with objects, wanted to make it tough to grab camo and give the snipers on each base plenty of room to take out anyone who wants to run the flag up the middle, or rush straight to camo. We'll see,. thanks for your thoughts I'll see what I can do.

    I'm a big fan of remakes, and Counter Strike, so this just makes me happy inside, but sad that I don't have the maps yet. I did fy_iceworld arena, but I didn't upload it, so send me a message on xbl, and I'll show it to you.

    lol a long time ago i remade fy_funtimes on foundry. it was a complete failure, but it looks like you mastered it! if your into CSS remakes you should definatly do Aim_ag_texture_city.

    Don't bump

    But yeah for the map the center structure is good, but the bases need to be much more structured. They are basically long rows of arches and a wall slit, which provides not much cover at all and spawn killing would be very frequent. Oh and MLG maps do not use fusion coils.

    I understand you were staying close to the original but i think adding cover around the main base would add a lot to game play. The area seems very open and plain, and everyone would want to go to the center.

    i think you need to take the out one sniper at least and either the rocket or the sniper. too many power weapons for the maps size
