So a long time ago, some of you may remember, I posted a thread saying I had started working on a map under Blackout that was going to utilize some of the original geometry. I never really got any further than that. Until the other day I loaded up what I thought to be Blackout Canvas, and found the beginnings of the map I had started before. So I started working on it. The map geometry is currently done and the map is going through the testing phase. I have gotten a good amount of test sessions in, but if you would like to help, PM me. Toxicity is a small, 2-4 player map set up for Slayer, CTF, Oddball, and KOTH. Here's a couple of teaser pics for ya: (I have more pictures ready if you would like to see them) Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Again, if you would like to help test, PM me.
It looks pretty unique and interesting. I can't see much, but it looks well made. Nice use of original map geometry. I notice in a lot of places that you would have to jump to get onto the geometry you have placed do to the railing. I think you should make small ramps to remedy this.
That was the one thing about the map I disliked. What could I use to create the ramps? (I think I am out of doors.)
Geomerging would be your friend there, just use the doors and teleporters to merge yourself a nice neat little ramp there.
'Twill be complicated but I will try. I'm sure it would help gameplay A LOT. I didn't want to put on too many pictures seeing as this is only a preview/teaser sort of thing. Search me on HaloScreenshots.net if you want to see the rest.
I would try using something else besides doors where you have them now. That would b the easiest way to make a perfect ramp. Or you could use a wall using what RST said.
I have a few bridges that would work in some places. Bridges are about the width of Blackout's paths so they would work well. I'll replace some of the doors I am using now with walls or something and use the doors to make the small ramps.
