Not the main floor, not the skybox, it's level 0.5: The Skyless Box.

    That's right.
    There's the crypt, floor -1.
The whole 'second skybox' area between crypt and the main floor and all around it, floor -0,5.
    The Main Floor, floor 0.
    The Skybox, floor 1.

But what's between the height limit of the main floor, and the death limit of the skybox?
Just space. You can build in :)

I present my second Sandbox Find:
    The Skyless Box!
    It's all floaty.

But if you go too high up.. (as monitor, in my case here)

Yup, boom. There goes another monitor. What do those things cost anyway?

If you fall, you'll be floating on air. Kinda like when you jump into the height limit on a map, you slow down heavily..

I'm sitting in the air. Just sitting in the air. Like I don't care... Which I do, though.

    ..Untill these guys kick in.

Killed by the guardians. Ahw :(

What this could be usefull for?
Well, it's not as high as the skybox, with the death limit and all,
but popular complaints about Skybox levels is that they're too close to the death barrier.
Meaning that when you fall, you die too quickly - unable to throw that one last 'nade in the map that might get your message across.
Here, you float in the air for about 5 seconds before you die - and you can still shoot and throw 'nades.
Although I would not recommend building here (no grid to lay your 'stuff on, you'll have to float -everything-), it's alright if you
want a map with just one or two (maybe even three) floors.

Guess what I did? I saved the map, just for you.
If you don't believe the screenies, this may just convince you.

    Have fun!

(Now, I hope no-one discovered this yet. That'd make me a sad monitor.)

I have no idea what anyone will use this area for. I bet you have to save & quit all the ibjects in place, so the only thing I would use it for is a block to stop those in the skybubble from seeing whats going on on the floor.

    Possibly.
But many people already do that in maps like Blackout and even Avalanche.
For those, this might be a better area.

Also, with the death barrier being -above- you, it could make for some new and interesting minigames.

I don't know, I once made an assault-ish minigame in foundry and it sucked bad. I'm not a minigame guy, so I don't know what they'll do with it.

EDIT: I know what you can do with it! A fantastic remake of Hobo Heights!
